It’s hard to get away from photographing puffins while on skomer but the island is home to so many amazing species. This swallow was one of my favourites as it kept returning to the same branch giving me many opportunities to capture its beauty

My first time seeing a goshawk up close, while waiting for the lynx to turn up at the hide an amazing goshawk came in from over the hide and decided to have a drink from the watering hole.

A unique view into the incredible beak structure that allow puffins to catch between 10-20 fish at one time. Inside the beak are what are known as ‘denticles’ which are spines that face towards the throat. Puffins use their tongue to push fish against the denticles while they carry on hunting for more fish. Some have actually been observed carrying up to 60 fish at one time.
