Very happy to welcome DTH contributor, Lokua , to the OFR series. Josh was responsible for our third release, which turned ten years old this past January. He was one of our earliest supporters, and we were lucky to include him in a handful of events during the short period of time we threw parties.

Originally from the country's second city of Banja Luka, now based in the nearby city of Prijedor, Danijel is a key member of the Bosnian underground scene and has been collecting, producing and playing music for more than 10 years.

He has released his strongly Motor City & Windy City-influenced music on a host of fine labels such as Minuendo Recordings, Kolour Recordings, Tit Zero Recordings, Open Bar Music, Waxx Trax and Manuscript Recordings among others. Here Danijel has showcased his vibrant, deep, soulful brand of club & bar-friendly house music with a slickness, a professional touch in the name of tight flow and intricate mixing. This, we can confirm, is true house music.

BIO -
After an initial interest in Hip-Hop/Turntablism culture as a teenager, Dschen soon became attracted by the early Atmospheric & Liquid Drum'n'Bass sound, which led to his first gigs and experiences as a club DJ. This was until around 2007. More than 15 years later the focus of his DJ sets today lies mainly on hypnotic, deep or driving Techno and organic halftime grooves, sometimes merging both styles in the same set through proper track selection and mixing techniques. Current DJ sets are regularly published in his own "Temporary Escape Podcast“ on SoundCloud and YouTube.

I had the pleasure of playing a condensed version of this mix to a intimate crowd at a rave on a small family farm / inside an empty barn. The barn had beautiful visuals projected on it courtesy of Mollie Bryan () on Instagram, who also organized the event.

This mix is encapsulates every quality I admire in techno, and feels like one of my most authentic expressions yet.

An active and forward-thinking member of the underground techno & club music community in the midwest for 11 years strong, Steven Hoffman (aka Steve Noah) has spent a decade sewing his roots in his home court of Chicago. He co-runs A&R for a label called Issa Party which specializes in techno, house, acid, breakbeat, juke, and club tracks that are laser focused towards the discerning dancefloor and is also the co-founder of underground events outfit Night Logistics. He strives to continually support and preserve the midwest's legendary music history that raised him while elevating its raw underground culture and spirit that continues to keep him inspired daily.
