Ponce de Leon Hot Springs | Taos, NM ๐ŸŒž๐Ÿซถ

Stepping into these springs was by far one of the most cleansing things we've experienced! Once a hot spring resort now long abandoned, it is open to the public to enjoy. The land is owned and blessed by the Pueblo tribe, so please be respectful as always :) Located 7ish miles out of Toas in the Carson National Forest, sits a mile and a half long out-and-back trail that leads you to these glistening springs. We couldn't believe how clean, clear and pleasantly warm the water was!!! It sits at about 80-95ยฐ depending on the time of year. This was a moderate hike with parking at the beginning, (trail accesible via alltrails app) and limited shade throughout. The NM sun is no joke and can make it a bit more challenging. Wear sunscreen/hats/protection forsure and bring lots of water, maybe a few light snacks. The adjacent spring is for the Pueblo only, don't use that one, the big main pool is where you'll swim. Free admission, day use only, and no pets or soap allowed in the springs. If you have any other questions about this destination, comment or reach out to us! ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š We were able to bring my mom and her bestie on this trip in celebration of my moms birthday and it was magical. More NM posts to come ๐Ÿค˜

Siamese Twin Trail | Garden of the Gods | CO

From the wildly beautiful red rock formations, to the views of Pikes Peak throughout the entire hike, this is a definite must-add to your Colorado Springs adventure bucket list! Garden of the Gods easily became one of our favorite places after visiting. Just driving through the park is a can't miss experience, but we do highly suggest hoppin' out of your vehicles and treating yourself to one of their many trail options. This is an easy .8 mile loop, starting in parking lot #14. 133 ft of elevation gain, bringing you to 6,305 ft max. The trail is well marked, and you have the option to start the loop from the east or west. We personally went with the path to the east (right) side to begin, both times we visited. Don't miss the kissing camels formation on your way up to the Siamese Twins! ๐Ÿ˜˜ The twins earned their name because, as you can see, this unique formation has 2 almost identical sides to it. At the right angle, through the middle of the red rocks, sits Pikes Peak in the distance. So beautiful and a wonderful place to snap some pictures with the famous Pikes Peak snowy cap. So nice, we went twice! ๐Ÿ˜œ We visited in April 2 years in a row, the pictures you see of us bundled up in jackets and hats was actually later into the year vs. us in shorts and t-shirts. Just goes to show how unpredictable and crazy Colorado weather can be! Always be prepared for the changing elements ๐Ÿค˜Free of charge, another bonus!

Words don't do any justice to how stunning the views are along this whole trail! It's an easy one, providing head on views of Pikes Peak. If you know us, you've most likely heard us talk about this spot already ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜š We enjoyed it so much we returned to hike it again, two years in a row. Can you guess where we were? Details coming soon ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿ˜

Laurel Falls | Great Smoky Mountain National Forest | TN

The first place we want to highlight on our page is ~
Laurel Falls Trail ๐Ÿ˜ Named after the flowering plant that blooms in the mountains every May, the mountain laurel. This is a trail leading to an 80-foot waterfall consisting of 2 sections. A super cute walkway separates the upper from the lower, making for miraculous views of the rushing waters from all angles. It's a moderate but lovely 2.6-mile hike roundtrip, taking us about 2 hours to complete. We were here a little over 3 hours, though, when you count the time we spent admiring the falls... and all the times we stopped along the trail for water breaks, snapping photos and the jaw droppin' mountains simply stopping us in our tracks as they peaked through the lush trees ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ’š We consider it moderate because once the paved path ends, there's quite a bit of hike left on semi-rough/uneven ground. There are also some steep sections that, of course, are slippery when wet. The elevation gain during the hike is 314 ft, manageable for sure! I suggest this hike to anyone!!! The views are so very rewarding and worth it. Take it at your own pace, bring water, wear sunscreen, and enjoy the scenery! I suggest getting there early, as it is a popular destination, especially in the summer. We felt so grounded in the Smoky's. The air was sooo fresh and there was something quite spiritual about that dense forest. Also, we saw a little black bear! I teared up it was so cute, and on my wishlist to see a bear while there. It's to be expected to see bears here, any time on any day. Keep a safe distance and never feed them! We can't wait to return to see more of the Smoky's and Tennessee as a whole ๐Ÿค˜ No admission charge for this national park, but, there is a $5 parking tag requirement if parking for more than 15 minutes. We reminisce on this trip and specific hike often!

For those of you who don't know us, I'm Erin, and the handsome bearded gentleman you see pictured is my lovely boyfriend, Alex. We're just a couple of metalhead, mountain lovin mofos. We've been together for almost 4 years now (friends for 8 though ๐Ÿคญ), and we have been going on trips near and far since the very beginning of us getting together. Tennessee, Colorado, New Mexico, fishing tournaments in Minnesota, day trips to Door County, weekends in Chicago, camping trips in Michigan... these are some of the trips we've been on, and I am so excited to start sharing our journey with you. In 2 weeks we are heading to Puerto Rico for 10 days, so stay tuned for those turquoise waters and beautiful island views ๐Ÿ˜Ž ๐Ÿ ๐ŸŒž By no means is traveling our whole life but that is the dream isn't it? ;) We do prioritize travel, though, because it makes us happy, and so does inspiring others to get out there and go see the world and do these things, too! It is seriously like a love language to us, which is exactly why we're here. Hearing our content is useful, entertaining or appreciated means the world to us so, we thought it was time we dedicated a page to put ourselves out there for ya ๐Ÿ˜ We will be sharing all of our shenanigans and trip recommendations here like hiking and camping spots, places to eat and shop at when visiting certain destinations, etc.

Also I just wanna add I feel soooo very lucky every day to be in love with my bestfriend and I wish fairytale type love on everyone ๐Ÿ’– To spend my days with someone who understands me to my core and shares similar passions like seeing the world, trying new foods/cooking, making art and getting creative, metal music and going to shows/festivals, traveling and getting adventurous.... that's the vibe you can expect to see in our posts. Thanks for looking and joining us on our ventures ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿซถ We are stoked for what's to come!
