To round out the Nobska Lighthouse series, here’s a few variations on the same shot taken at different times.

To round out the Nobska Lighthouse series, here’s a few variations on the same shot taken at different times.
We got to Nobska Point Lighthouse around 7pm and stayed through sunset. Interesting to see how the shots changed as the sun got lower and the light got softer.
Couple shots of Nobska Lighthouse soaking up the summer golden hour light. Nobska and Nauset lighthouses were my favorite and most scenic of the cape cod trip. I got a few different angles of this lighthouse so we’ll give it its own row on the grid.
Few shots from a walk out to Stage Harbor Lighthouse. Built in 1880 and discontinued in 1933 it’s a beautiful landmark but I will say, it’s just not the same without the light 💡
Also, bonus shot of the local wildlife.
A lobster roll is never a bad idea after a day at the beach 🦞 🏖️
Love this shot of a boat at the dock near Rock Harbor beach. A day out on a boat sounds pretty good right now! Also, bonus shot of a seagull who caught, cracked, and ate this huge clam!
Some night shots from my phone at Nauset Beach. Id planned to get some more editing done this weekend but I somehow managed to catch a cold in the middle of June. 🤧
Nauset Beach was quiet and peaceful under the full moon. Soon the summer crowds will be filling up the shores of the cape. A beach day doesn’t sound bad in this heat!
Probably my favorite shots from the Cape Cod trip were these night shots of Nauset Light. It was almost a full moon so the stars aren’t as visible but it provided some cool lighting. Included two angles, surprising how much a few feet can change a shot with a wide angle lens.
You’ll recognize this lighthouse from the Cape Cod Chips bag!
One final shot of the Eastern Towhee before I move on to some of my favorite landscape shots from the cape cod trip.
Here’s the female Towhee that the male was chasing around the pines.
On an unrelated note, how does everyone feel about IG and adobe training their AI on our images?
Captured this Eastern Towhee as I was leaving the wildlife refuge. The 2nd pic is the only other shot of a male Towhee that I have, taken in 2022.
One more of the Pine Warbler sitting in the mossy pines to complete the set.
Got a couple more shots of this guy so let’s let him have his own row on the IG grid.
Spotted this Pine Warbler hopping around the mossy pines that dotted the shores of Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge.
First trip to Cape Cod was a success. Got to explore some of the national seashore and a few other places along the way. Just missed the Lupine blooms and the rouge flamingo though!
Love the cliffs and dunes of the beaches on Cape Cod.
Took a trip out to Cape Cod just before Memorial Day to do some exploring before all the crowds arrive for the summer. The fog was super thick here so not the most exciting shot but a good one to get the series started while I edit the rest 😆
Hopefully everyone isn’t getting tired of the Northern Lights photos yet. I’ve only been able to share my iPhone shots so far!
Here’s another from the Northern Lights on Friday. After seeing them in my backyard, we drove up to litchfield quickly for some darker skies.
I was totally unprepared for last night’s Northern lights. I thought for sure we were going to get clouded out. But still caught quite the show. Here’s a quick unedited phone shot. More to come from the camera. A little jealous of everyone who set up a nice composition! 😝
Another perspective of Nubble including the power lines that run to the island. Added a B+W version too since it suits the scene.
Nubble Lighthouse is another one that’s been on my list for a while. Glad I was finally able to visit on the way home from NH. Definitely gonna have to plan another trip to Maine to see all the spots I missed!
Had to post the landscape versions of my shots from Portland Head Light. Let’s see if 4x5 works better than 3x2.
Few more shots from my visit to Portland Head Light. Next time I’m hoping to capture it at sunrise or sunset, but I’m pretty happy with how these came out too.
Stopped at a few lighthouses on our way back from New Hampshire. Portland Head Light was one of my favorites. It was pretty much mid day so the light wasn’t ideal but I’ve had this on my list for a while so we had to stop!
To round out the Mount Chocorua series, here’s a few more landscape shots taken from the bridge.
This was the view of Mount Chocorua at sunset the day before yesterday’s post. Not much light on the mountain but the sky did light up just before dark!
Couldn’t decide if it looked better with or without the border.
One of my favorite views in the White Mountains is from the bridge at Mount Chocorua. I’ve stopped here quite a few times trying to get a good sunrise/sunset shot.
Here’s one more shot of all three otters on the ice, and a more wide angle shot that shows the beautiful backdrop of Mount Washington where these little guys were.

The Ovenbird is a small warbler with a song that packs a punch! Walking through the woods you can hear these guys much more often than you’ll see them! . . . . #wildlifewednesday #warbler #warblersofinstagram #warblers #ovenbird #wildlifeonearth #wildlifereels #ctwildlife #newenglandwildlife #connecticutoutdoors #newenglandoutdoors #canonwildlifephotography #naturalnewengland #wildlifeig #birdsofinstagram
Last year I got to see this snowy owl on several occasions. It was by far my favorite wildlife encounter I’ve ever had. Here it was perched on a piece of driftwood at the beach soaking in the morning sun. . . . . #wildlifewednesday #snowyowl #snowyowls #snowyowlsofinstagram #owlsofinstagram #owlstagram #ctwildlife #connecticutwildlife #newenglandwildlife #newenglandwinter #newenglandphotography #wildlifevideos #wildlifevideo #raw_birds #elite_owls #wildlifeplanet #wildlifephotography #wildlifeshots #birdphotographyworld #birdphotography🐦 #connecticutgram #best_birds_of_ig
This clip and photos were captured at East Rock Park last year. Wood Ducks can be tricky to capture as they’re very skittish. It provides a nice challenge though, and I’ll definitely be out trying to get some better shots this year! . . . #wildlifevideos #wildlifevideography #wildlifevideo #wildlifevids #wildlifephotography #wildlifephotographer #woodduck #woodducks #woodduckwednesday #woodducksofinstagram #connecticutwildlife #ctwildlife #eastrockpark #newhaven #newhavenct #newhavenctphotography #newhavenparks
