I had a sales call yesterday with a potential client and we were talking about the state of the equine industry. She said retailers seem to be cautious about spending but individuals are not. Even though the world is crazy right not.....they have no problem dropping a couple hundred on something new for their horse.
And we hit on something - maybe perhaps it's BECAUSE the world is crazy?
Because at the end of the day, those in the equestrian industry are not selling pieces of leather and metal or denim, bling and spandex.
We are selling THERAPY. Time spent with a four-legged therapist that is so good, he can hear our heartbeat from four feet away. Time spent away from toxic social media. Time spent with a true friend. Fresh air and green grass. A sense of accomplishment when you finally get that flying lead change or conquer your fear of cantering for the first time.
We are not selling products. We are selling a lifestyle that gives people confidence, relaxation, friendship and escape. And so much more.
