What do you know about KLEINFONTEIN?🤔

The Controversial All White/Afrikaaner Town In South Africa🇿🇦 Where Black Indegineous South Africans Are Not Allowed.

Kleinfontein is a private settlement in South Africa located near Pretoria, in the Gauteng Province. It is notable for being an Afrikaner-only community established in 1992 with the goal of preserving Afrikaner culture, language, and heritage. The community operates on principles of self-sufficiency and cultural exclusivity, restricting residency to people who adhere to its specific cultural and religious beliefs.

Controversy: Kleinfontein has been criticized for being exclusionary and has faced allegations of fostering segregation in post-apartheid South Africa. However, its residents argue that it is a way of preserving their unique cultural heritage.

Self-Sufficiency: Residents engage in farming, crafts, and other local businesses to maintain economic independence.

The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has thrown its support behind Nigeria in the wake of accusations from Niger Republic alleging acts of destabilization and interference.

The claims, led by Niger’s military leader General Abdourahamane Tchiani and Foreign Minister Bakary Yaou Sangare, include allegations of Nigeria’s involvement in the December 13 sabotage of the Niger-Benin oil pipeline and purported collusion with France to undermine Niger’s stability.

Nigeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs swiftly rejected the accusations, calling them baseless and irrational. Highlighting Nigeria’s longstanding commitment to regional development, the ministry pointed to collaborative projects such as the Trans-Saharan Gas Pipeline and the Kano-Maradi Railway as evidence of its positive engagement with Niger.

In a departure from his historically hardline stance on immigration, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has proposed granting green cards to foreign students who graduate from U.S. colleges. The announcement came during an appearance on the All-In podcast, hosted by Silicon Valley tech investors, on Thursday.

Responding to angel investor Jason Calacanis’ call for policies to retain high-skilled workers, Trump agreed to the idea of extending green cards to foreign graduates, including those from junior colleges. “You graduate from a college, I think you should get automatically as part of your diploma a green card to stay in this country,” Trump stated, adding, “I do promise.”

A green card, officially known as a permanent resident card, grants individuals the right to live and work permanently in the United States and serves as a pathway to citizenship.

President Bassirou Diomaye Faye of Senegal has launched a bold initiative to replace colonial-era street names with those that honor national heroes and significant historical events.

The program, unveiled during a recent cabinet meeting, is part of a broader effort to reclaim Senegal’s cultural identity and spotlight the country’s rich heritage.

“This initiative is not just about changing names; it’s about rewriting our history in the public sphere,” President Faye stated. “We must educate our youth about the figures and events that shaped Senegal and instill pride in our shared heritage.”

HAPPY KWANZAA! ❤️💚🖤🌍🇺🇲

Kwanzaa is a week-long cultural celebration held annually from December 26 to January 1. It honors African heritage, community, and culture, particularly among African Americans. Created in 1966 by Dr. Maulana Karenga, Kwanzaa was designed to inspire pride in African roots and promote unity and empowerment within the African diaspora.

Key Aspects of Kwanzaa:

1. Seven Principles (Nguzo Saba):
These principles serve as the foundation of Kwanzaa:

Umoja (Unity): To strive for and maintain unity in the family, community, nation, and race.

Kujichagulia (Self-Determination): To define and name ourselves, as well as to create and speak for ourselves.

Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility): To build and maintain our community together and make our brothers' and sisters' problems our problems.

Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics): To build and maintain our own stores, shops, and businesses and profit from them together.

Nia (Purpose): To make our collective vocation the building and developing of our community.

Kuumba (Creativity): To always do as much as we can to leave our community more beautiful and beneficial.

Imani (Faith): To believe with all our hearts in our people, our parents, our teachers, our leaders, and the righteousness of our struggle.

2. Symbols:

Kinara (Candleholder): Holds seven candles (three red, three green, and one black) representing the principles.

Mishumaa Saba (Seven Candles): Lit each day to reflect on a principle.

Mkeka (Mat): Represents the foundation of African tradition and history.

Mazao (Crops): Symbolizes the rewards of collective work.

Kikombe cha Umoja (Unity Cup): Used to pour libations in honor of ancestors.

Zawadi (Gifts): Handmade or meaningful gifts emphasizing education and culture.

3. Festivities:
Activities during Kwanzaa include storytelling, poetry readings, African drumming, communal feasts, and reflection on heritage and principles.

Kwanzaa is a non-religious celebration and can be observed alongside Christmas or other holidays, depending on personal traditions.

Angolan President João Lourenço has granted pardons to dozens of prisoners, including José Filomeno dos Santos, the son of former President José Eduardo dos Santos, who had been serving a five-year sentence for fraud.

The decision was announced as part of a broader gesture of clemency tied to the 50th anniversary of Angola’s independence from Portugal, which will be marked in 2025. A presidential decree highlighted the importance of fostering “harmony, leniency, and fraternity” as reasons behind the move.

José Filomeno dos Santos, often referred to as “Zenu,” was convicted in 2020 in connection with the transfer of $500 million from Angola’s national bank to a private account in the UK. The case also implicated other officials, including the former governor of the national bank, and was a centerpiece of President Lourenço’s anti-corruption campaign.
