Back in June we snuck off to Ireland with .caugh and for their secret elopement and let me tell you that Ireland did 👏 not 👏 disappoint.

Here’s some of my favorites from their ceremony at an abandoned castle. I spent hours scouring the web, reaching out the friends who has a friend who lived over there, watching you tube videos, etc. and I was so incredibly happy that they chose the castle instead of tourist hot spots. We basically had the place to ourselves (wait til you see their sunset photos 🤩)

Maternity photos but bring the ✨vibes✨

What started as a photo shoot ended up being a weekend sleepover. We ate the best food, listened some womp womp, and had the best time hanging with Auggie’s new besties. It was so special to get to run around Pittsburgh, a place I love so much, and do one of my favorite things in the world- porch sit. Plus a 10/10 experience doing one of my other favorite things- photographing humans. Absolutely thrilled with how these turned out and even more thrilled to meet baby Millie 🌹

If you’ve just come off the weekend planning your wedding, did you find yourself planning a wedding or planning a photoshoot?

Almost (TWO?!) years ago, we were prepping for our first wedding in Italy and when Amanda and Joey’s photography & videography questionnaire responses came in, I had an epiphany.

Not only is it important to know what you do what out of your wedding day, I’d say it’s equally as important to note what you don’t want as well.

There seems to be some sort of wedding template. A calculated list, with its pointed checkboxes. As if a list of must-haves is more important than the memories themselves.

If intense shot lists are not the energy you’re looking for on your wedding day, you don’t have to follow the rule book. Make note what kind of energy you ARE looking for, and then put the puzzle pieces together with that common thread in mind.

If you are drawn to wedding photographs that feel fleeting and full of soul, we encourage you to plan your wedding as if there will be no photographer or shot list.

How will you spend your time if you’re not posing for an exhaustive list of photos?
