They'll just hire anyone to be a cop now days. We have to come together and require more schooling and training. Also to modify the terms of qualified immunity to actually be able to hold bad officers accountable when they abuse their badge. I'm sure good cops would love this, also. It would make the public that's lost trust due to the bad cops. It would make them start trusting all cops in general again. Which makes their jobs 10x easier. We respect and like good hard working cops. We don't trust or respect bad cops that abuse their badge and the corrupt leadership of that bad cop that let's him/her get away with it.

Here's another one. This seems to be a common thing with West Virginia State Police. You guys keep breaking the citizens trust. We shouldn't have to worry about being killed if we have an encounter with one of your officer's. Even though we haven't done anything to justify being killed. I mean we can't even laugh without one of your troopers going crazy and arresting someone for just literally laughing a little bit. You guys need to do a news conference and apologize to WV citizens on all your bad behavior.

These police officers are corrupt and evil.

This is my client, James Dean, of Wayne County, WV, and today was his 50th birthday. Today I watched his elderly mother whisper tearfully, “can you hear me, can you hear me?” while facing pressure by the medical providers to consent to turning off artificial life support. He was dropped off here by the Kenova, WV police department, after allegedly being shoved while handcuffed behind his back. He has been in a coma for over a week and is showing no brain activity.

Remember that no matter how much you May think someone deserves rough treatment by the police, that somewhere is a mother, or other family member, who may disagree.

ETA: He’s about to be allowed to die as a result of a “police altercation,” and no Governor, no state police, no FBI, no Attorney General. Just me. Think about that.

Update 4/20/19: the state police have now been ordered to investigate by the Wayne Prosecutor.

Update 4/22/19: James passed away early this morning.

This was so hard to read due to the horrible things those 6 police officers did to these 2 black men. No one can tell me that some officers don't target black people because their rasict. The officers literally tortured these 2 men. The guilty pleas came less than two weeks after the former officers pleaded guilty to federal civil rights offenses stemming from the raid on Jan. 24, in which prosecutors said one of the victims was shot in the mouth, and the other had a s*x toy forced into his mouth. That's not all they did to these 2 black men either. Police had no warrant to even enter their home. Then they tried to cover up and destroy the evidence and body cam video.

A two-count indictment, unsealed Thursday, charges Deputy Lance Kuretza, 38, with depriving an individual of his civil rights by using excessive force and for writing a false report to cover it up.

Federal investigators said Kuretza punched, elbowed and used pepper spray on a suspect while handcuffed during a Jan. 20, 2018 incident. Court documents also said Kuretza lied and tried to cover it up.

Lance Kuretza named in a 2-count indictment.

Sheriff Jeff Jones in Monroe County, WV. Arrested for trying to cover up one of his deputies for seeking n**e photos of a minor. According to a state police news release, troopers began investigating Jones after learning that a Monroe County deputy was allegedly seeking n**e photos of a minor.
