I was VERY surprised last night when dinner with my friend Nikki turned into a “going away” party for my kidney 🥰 It was so special and these ladies really made me feel loved. And they came bearing gifts, too! A card that they all wrote very kind things in (that made me tear up of course), a funny shirt, a journal, a mug that says “Of course I’m a kidney donor, who wouldn’t want a piece of this?”, and a pair of kidney slippers that I’ll definitely be rocking in the hospital! The decision to donate a kidney was made much easier knowing that I have the support of so many great friends, they’re all a part of this journey and I love them so much!

No live video this morning! Thought I could get some things checked off my to-do list before 10… but then I got stuck in traffic and both places I’ve tried to go are closed today for the National Day of Mourning for Jimmy Carter. If you’ve got places to go today I guess call ahead! And be aware that the mail won’t run today. Got out in this cold weather for nothing 😆 Will post later when I’ve made my way back home!

Update #2: Winners have been picked randomly and notified! As I get more donations I will continue to send remaining calendars to those who expressed interest. THANK YOU to those who were able and willing to pass along a little joy yesterday, and to everyone who shared their stories with me. If I responded privately to you all it'd take me a week but I want you all to know that I read them and I care about you!

Update: I now have TWO to give away! :)
