The Celina Radio podcast is going full “video” episodes and the guest list is incredible! I was originally going to style the “set” (background) myself, BUT I think this is a platinum opportunity for a local business (designer, home furnishings etc) to style the set and get shameless promotion and a produced commercial during the show. We could feature your skill or products and get you some serious local traction. Currently on audio we are getting over 6k local neighbors tuning in… we expect to easily double that number with video!

Remember, each episode has “shelf life” and has a perpetual existance out there and can be working for you 24/7/365 as a direct connect to people who convert to customers -which equals great relationships and more bank deposits!

Two quick concerns:

First, podcast episodes are like newspaper stories, no one wants to tell the same story twice… so be particularly careful when choosing a podcast to go on because most others won’t feature you anywhere near the time that you appear on the first pod.

There have been guests that I really wanted on the show and even had scheduled, but after they appeared on another pod in the same market I have to roll them months down the list.

It’s never a personal issue but it is the way most in the industry work, for obvious reasons.

Second, please please please always do your research and make certain that any podcast (or any other media for that matter) is going to make you look GOOD. Poor audio quality, a lifeless, boring host, tons of echo and reverb can give everyone listening a bad image of you, especially if it’s the first time they’ve ever heard of you. It’s like a bad first impression. In other words, not all exposure for you is of the same caliber and these episodes have nearly endless “shelf life” -they will be out there for people to hear for years in many cases and pulling every single platform that received the RSS with your pod episode on it is impossible.

Just be mindful 🙂 stick with the top quality pods. In Celina right now, the City pod and Celina Radio are the only two I would recommend. Others will come and some will be good (hopefully) but most won’t.
