🐣 Exciting news! Our baby orbs have settled and reached room temperature for 24 hours before placing them in the incubator. We gave them a quick candling before placing them in their incubator, and it looks like almost all of them might hatch! Some were a mystery due to their shell color, but we have high hopes for a successful hatch. Stay tuned to see what breed will be joining our flock! 🥚✨

Bili may be a bit skittish at first, but with patience and love, we are working on building trust every day. It warms our hearts to see her slowly coming out of her shell and beginning to feel comfortable in her new home. We are so grateful for the opportunity to help Bili feel safe and loved, and we know that with time, she will blossom into the confident and happy goat we know she can be. Here’s to the journey of trust and love with our sweet girl, Bili! 💖🌟

🥚🌈 Everytime I walk out to the coop to hand gather eggs, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement. Our black copper marans hens are truly amazing, providing us with the most beautiful chocolate-colored eggs. It’s like a little daily gift from our feathered friends! 🐓💕

Hey there! Have we met? My name is Trish Miller, I am the Co-owner/Manager of Every Feather Homestead. Some might say I’m the brains behind this operation, but I would say I am absolutely the heart. I love our homestead inside and out, and most importantly, I love our animals.
I am a wife, mother of five, a Veteran, crazy chicken lady, and lover of all animals. I grew up around the homestead life, learning the ins and outs from my grandparents. My first love for farm animals started with horses. You could find me out with the horses every chance I got. My best memories as a child were spending time with the animals; from bottle-feeding calves, playing with chickens and rabbits, and being chased by geese. Being raised around farm life, I saw the good and the ugly behind it. I also learned hard work, respect, and love. It’s a lifestyle I certainly came to love and appreciate, and I aim to teach my family and friends the same life lessons through our Homestead.

We had our first vending event yesterday and it was a huge success! Our eggs sold out before the event even ended - what a great feeling knowing people want fresh produce from our little homestead. Residing in the countryside means facing the threat of predators, a harsh truth that comes with the territory of homesteading. From neighborhood dogs to wild animals. Talk Turkey to me! Love turkeys sounds, they can be great protectors of your flock. Five cool facts… 1. Benjamin Franklin preferred the turkey over the bald eagle. 2. Both female and males gobble. 3. Their Poop can determine weather they are male or female. 4. They are both social and sensitive animals. 5. Wild turkeys can fly.

These quail babies grow so fast! Did you know they can start laying eggs as early as 6 to 8 weeks! They reach full maturity at 10 weeks old. Love these little pocket chickens. Ask us how you can start raising your own.
