When in Doubt, Go Higher This magazine was published under the name Skiers’ Gazette from 1966 until 1972. It was published as Mountain Gazette from 1972-1979.

After a 20-plus- year hiatus, it was reborn in 2000 as a monthly magazine, with national distribution at gear shops, java huts, bookstores, brewpubs, bars, lodging facilities and by paid subscription of $25 for 12 issues. In 2020, Mountain Gazette returns as a bi-annual, coffee table book magazine.

Mountain Gazette is published twice per year, delivering issues to our subscribers in the spring and fall. We see a few new subscribers asking “where is my magazine?”

Your magazine is printing in Canada as you read this. Next it will be packed and dropped off at a USPS facility. It typically takes between 2-7 days to arrive. Good news? You’ll receive a tracking number so you can follow MG 201 on its journey to your home or office. If you have further questions, please check out our Frequently Asked Questions tab on the site or send us an email. We’re here to help. If your magazine arrives damage, as rare as that is, send us a photo and we’ll replace it. If your dog eats your magazine, definitely send us a photo and we’ll replace it and send you a hat. Dogs think MG is delicious.

The deadline to subscribe and receive 201 is April 29th. After that you’ll have to purchase a single copy of the mag with a subscription or wait until the fall issue. Every copy you see here is long sold out. We print in limited quantities and always more than enough to fulfill our commitment to our subscribers. The truth is, though, there are always a few folks who miss out. Don’t be one of those people. Subscribe today.

Proofs should arrive next week. Once approved for color and clarity, MG 201 heads to the presses for nearly two weeks of production time. After that? Packed securely with two subscriber stickers and sent to the greatest readers in the world.
