Just got positive news.
We are ditching the immobilizer for everthing except standing AND next week we get to start putting weight on Carol's leg. Standing on her own 2 feet. 15 seconds at a time.
We are healing.

I was told today that Carol might be able to get help when we are forced to bring her home on 12-13 through a medicaid program in PA but there was an income requirement that is ridiculously low and an $8,000 asset test. In other words, you need it be already indigent.

Heartfelt moment.
After talking with the Dr who is insistent on throwing us out of the REHAB hospital because he says she hasn't made progress in 2 weeks.
I tell I need her to focus and we are going to get through this.
She smiled and said, "together, like we always do."

Donald Trump said in the last month that he does NOT support one of the Teamsters legislative priorities in the Pro-Act, has said auto workers jobs can be done by children, and thinks striking workers should be fired but International Brotherhood of Teamsters General President Sean O'Brien says Democrats suck and failed to endorse.
Someone sucks...just not sure it's the Dems.

The one thing that is crystal clear about Teamsters President Sean O'Brien is that he is not a real leader. A real leader does what is best for his followers not what is best for himself. Doing the right thing is hard, something O'Brien doesn't get.

Jacque Simon: They want to have a decertification of the union at TSA because federal labor law has a great big loophole in it: If the people who are performing the work are engaged directly in work that involves nat'l security, you can exclude them from bargaining units. They would argue that TSA, FEMA, CIS, several of the components of DHS are engaged in nat'l security work & thus shouldn't be allowed to have unions.

Jacque Simon: Project 2025 wants to privatize TSA, which was created after 9/11. That's another way of saying, let's go back to pre-9/11 airport security screening to min wage rent-a-cops. Talk about showing absolutely no regard for the safety & the security of the American flying public.
