How Higher Mortgage Rates Helped Sustain Property Values
DID YOU KNOW... HIGHER MORTGAGE RATES ACTUALLY HELPED SUSTAIN PROPERTY VALUES THESE PAST 18 MONTHS
How? Watch this 1.5 minute video.
In a nutshell... Less inventory due to more sellers not selling because they had lower rates of 2.5-3.5% on their current home and moving up into a 7.5% rate was a bit too much. And yes, the law of supply and demand kicked in and the limited amount of homes for sale that were prepped, marketed right and priced right sold at top dollar.
The demand is still there, it may be a smaller pool of buyers, but it's also a very small inventory and yes, there still is a strong demand for housing especially now as rates are coming down.
If rates continue to drop, 2024 will be a strong year in the housing market as many sellers will jump back in.
As always, happy selling, happy buying and Happy Holidays!

JADE ALLEN IN APTOS
Decided to take a long drive (not really that far) and headed out to APTOS for a little shopping and somehow we ended up at a place called JADE ALLEN while Johnny Hohman and I did some shopping for ourselves and I have to tell you, the wives were ecstatic to have found this place and did not want to leave! And I don’t blame them, lots of beautiful clothes and accessories there.
We don’t need to go over the hill when we need things, if they don’t have what we are looking for in some of the amazing shops in Scotts Valley, there are plenty of shops and boutiques all over Santa Cruz County like JADE ALLEN.
Great owners too, so nice and appreciative of the business. Sonya started started in Capitola Village a few years and opened this shop in APTOS a couple of years ago.
Check it out, they are at 7558 Soquel Drive in Aptos in the Aptos Center.
BTW: their shop in Capitola is at 208 Monterey Avenue.
AND… if we ever do get a town center, a few shops like this in town would be fun!

Sunday Conversation with Jason Weeman
THE SUNDAY CONVERSATION THIS FATHER'S DAY TALKS ABOUT RAISING, GUIDING AND "COACHING" OUR KIDS, WITH COACH JASON WEEMAN
• Two dads talking life and family along with some great tips from Jason on raising your kids via coaching AND parenting
Parents of young adults face many of the same challenges with supporting their children as they navigate important life transitions.
We see our kids stressed and anxious when decisions need to be made. We feel we have no choice but to step in and take ownership because we believe they need rescuing. We find ourselves getting sucked into the drama they are dealing with, finding it difficult to help them or now ourselves separate from it.
These are normal reactions and behaviors for parents like you and I.
But what if we started to show up a bit differently for our children? What if our approach was more coach like, more curious? What would you be able to learn about your kids and what could they learn about themselves?
Being a parent that leads with curiosity can strengthen relationships, build confidence and help your children uncover what they are really capable of.
Tune in right here as we dive deep and talk to Jason about how he effectively approaches parenting, and how it could help you and your kids better understand each other through better communication.
This broadcast will go out to the following pages and groups:
• My Scotts Valley FB page
• My Scotts Valley Locals Group
• Scotts Valley SLV Strong Group
• You can also learn more about their program and contact Jason at www.refinetalent.net
