The University Auditorium is in color this afternoon as the Rainbow Fashion Show celebrates inclusivity and diversity serving students the last dose of Studentsโ Week 2024.
Contestants are captivating the audience with vibrant ensembles inspired by the rainbow spectrum, symbolizing unity and pride.
From bold reds to serene blues, each model struts the runway with confidence and grace. This isn't just about fashion but a platform for MinSUansโ self-expression, creativity, and individuality.
๐๐ง๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐ฌโ ๐๐๐๐ค ๐ค๐ข๐๐ค๐ฌ ๐จ๐๐ | Hundreds of students, accompanied by faculty members and staff, are marching across the campus, drawing cheers and applause for the University Studentsโ Week 2024, reflecting the solidarity and togetherness of the student body.
This 4-day celebration is organized by the University Student Government with a variety of activities and events planned throughout the week. The Festival Dance competition, Minsu Got Talent, and Palaro ng Lahi will grace the occasionโs Festive Monday.

To strengthen teamwork, sportsmanship, and collaboration through displaying athletic prowess in preparation for the 2023 Southern Tagalog Regional Association of State Universities and Colleges (STRASUC) Sports Olympics, we are currently here at the Mindoro State University Main Campus Gymnasium to witness the MinSU Intercampus Meet 2023.
As they participate in various sports and competitions, the three campuses are prepared to fight fiercely and with strength.
The program started with an opening remark given by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr Nemesio H. Davalos followed by the message of Dr. Vilma Manansala, the Executive Assistant of the Office of the University President and Ms. Roselie T. Gonzales, the Director for Sports Culture and Arts.
The athletes and contestants are now in their respective tournaments for the chance to compete in the STRASUC Sports Olympics 2024.

The University Auditorium was crowded as the search for Mr. and Ms. MinSUFEA 2023 officially closed with the victory of Bakunawa Brawlers' Engr. Christian Hernandez and Tikbalang Titans' Dr.' Marinel Burgos.
The competition for the title put the five pairs to showcase their talents and beauty as they compete in different rounds: the production number, talent, ASEAN dress, casual interview, and Philippine Folklore attire.
Notably, Engr. Hernandez's triumph was nothing short of spectacular, as he secured the titles of Best in Production Number, Best in Talent, Best in Asean Attire, and the prestigious Runway King Award. Meanwhile, Dr.' Burgos delivered an exceptional performance during the casual interview, earning her well-deserved recognition in this category.
In the race for major awards, Mr. Wowie Escalona and Ms. Jessele Genteroy, representing the Aswang Avengers, clinched the 2nd runner-up position. The 1st runner-up honor was bestowed upon Mr. Jhover Quirante from the Sarimanok Sentinels and Ms. Mercado of Bakunawa Brawlers, who remarkably mirrored the achievements of her partner, Engr. Hernandez.
Adding to the accolades, Mr. Jhover Quirante, the first runner-up, was honored with the Best in Casual Interview award. In a nod to Philippine culture, Mr. Eljohn Villeza of Tikbalang Titans and Ms. Mercado were jointly recognized as the Best in Philippine Folklore Attire.
Now that Day 4 of the Tagsiklaban 2023 has concluded, it was definitely a once-in-a-lifetime event. From the spectacular performances, skills, and sporting activities, to the incredible audience enthusiasm, and the sense of community that make this event memorable.

The entire crowd at the Crispin E. Cabanilla Gymnasium has gone wild as the search concluded for the victors of the most-awaited Mr. and Ms. TAGSIKLABAN 2023 in the names of Sunshine Mai Mojica and Mark Joseph Diaz, October 25.
The battle for the crown included a fierce clash of intellect, elegance, and poise, as the six dazzling duos battled it out across challenging rounds.
The pageant startup with the candidatesโ stage performance with their dazzling production attire wherein Maroon mavensโ Princess Reisha Magramo and Agreen eco buildersโ Jan weed Alcones won the award of best in production attire.
Jazzmine Marcelo of Pink Titans armored with confident-dark shooting outfit and Jan weed Alcones with clean tennis suit claimed the best in sports attire while the best in long gown was attained by Dark phoenixโ bet Angel Nicole Rivas and best formal attire goes to Jan weed Alcones.
Meanwhile, CTE proves that they are indeed artistic and brainy blazing blues as Sunshine Mai Mojica and Mark Joseph Diaz both clinched the best in talent and best in question and answer.
The 3rd runner ups are from the Maroon mavensโ Angel Jesu Mendez and Pink Titanโs Jazzmine Marcelo. The 2nd runner ups claimed by Samuel Andaya of Pink Titans and Princess Reisha Magramo of Maroon Mavens. 1st runner ups are achieved by Jan Weed Alcones of Agreen eco builders and from Dark Phoenix, Angel Nicole Rivas.

True to its theme โCelebrating Triumph over Challenges: Breaking Barriers and Pursuing Excellence,โ Tagsiklaban 2023 kicked off with a parade, participated by students from the six competing teams, October 24.
Despite the pouring rain, the students lined-up and push through the procession, beating with the music of the MinSU Brass Band. This was then followed by the opening program at the Crispin E. Cabanilla Memorial Gymansium, the banner raising led by the Mr. and Ms. Tagsiklaban 2023 candidates, and the lightning of torch. As well, the athletes took the oath of sportsmanship promising to compete in a spirit of fair play. Afterwards, Mr. Joseph Alcuran, the Sports Coordinator, declared the official opening of TAGSIKLABAN 2023.
The event culminated with the exhibition of each teamโs mass cheers.
Now that TAGSIKLABAN finally commenced, the continuation of preliminary games of different events are expected to begin this afternoon.

๐๐๐๐ | The sun is rising at MinSU Main Campus, but the University Student Government vote canvassing continues here at the Agri-Eco building since it commenced last night at 8 pm.
Presently, the Commission on Student Elections is tallying votes from the College of Computer Studies, amounting to 224 ballots.
In a preliminary, unofficial count, Wyndel Aguilon, the sole presidential candidate, has garnered over 300 votes. Meanwhile, the Vice-Presidential race is fiercely contested between Julio Zhen Roda and Ayzel Bernardo, with Bernardo holding a 36-vote advantage. Kaide Fuentes, running unopposed for secretary, has received over 500 votes.
For the Treasurer and Auditor positions, candidates from the USAD party, Dan Raiden Reig and Kenneth Sotero, are leading. Meanwhile in the 8 senatorial positions, the frontrunners are Barber, Dela Torre, the independent candidate Delos Reyes, Agaloos, Penohermoso, Layson, Luz, and Beligan, with Geron in the 8th position.
The Commission estimates that the vote canvassing will conclude by 10 a.m. today, revealing the new set of USG Officers within a few hours.

๐๐๐๐ | After the Miting De Avance last Wednesday, we are now on the deciding day as the 2023 University Student Government Elections have officially started. The said election runs from 8 in the morning until 3 in the afternoon.
According to the Commission on Student Elections, they have established designated precincts for each college so that students will be able to vote conveniently. As of now, the Commission is working on with the late registrants who still want to cast their vote despite the failure to register.

As the University Student Government Elections draw near, the Commission on Student Elections is now about to conduct a Miting De Avance at the University Gymnasium. This is for the candidates to present their platforms and for the students to be involved, as they are the ones to decide who will be the next USG officers.
BLAZING THE HYPE | 420 participants giving their all-out moves on the Sasha Lopez's Beautiful World as part of the ALAB Dance Troupe's ZumBlaze (Zumba in Blaze) Activity.
MinSU Men's Volleyball Team ended its campaign to the STRASUC Olympics 2022 after being outlasted by the LSPU Lakers in straight sets, 25 - 23, 25 - 13.
MinSU continues to rally to tie in Set 2 after URS inched in Set 1.
