I love this old picture of me. A SacBee photographer captured it, and the Bee used it as the main picture in the story of Matson Breakey's Fair Oaks Brewfest (which might have been named something else) around the latter part of the first decade of our century.

In this picture, I have my custom Carvin LB5 bass (which I recently sold), an SWR head of something like 900 watts, and an SWR Megoliath 8x10 speaker cabinet built to roll like a dolly. Those were also sold, but they went a long time ago. The only thing I have left that you can see in this picture is my passion for performing live music.

These Reverend Guitars Hyper Vintage pickups in my Wolf Guitars Australia V sound sooooo good through my EVH 5150 III 50S and Jeff Young's old Friedman cab!!! Unreal!

MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

Dirk Van Stralen has retired from live music performances, though he is still available as an instructor and studio musician.

Because of this, I have assumed lead guitar duties for Fast Fairlane.

Dirk and I have played music together since the '80s. Yes... the 1980s. This will be a difficult musical transition for me and the band. We will dearly miss Dirk and all he has shared with us. Please join me in thanking Dirk for bringing so much joy through his impressive talent and personality over the decades. Thank you, Dirk!!!
