What can I say 27th Street in Camden is finally fixed!!!
I do not believe there is not a citizen of Camden that is not rejoicing. Let the repairs of our infrastructure keep going, and Improvements in our communities for the betterment of everyone.
Kudos to everyone who made this possible!!!!!

Driving or strolling through the city of Camden I often observe how much is changing. At the same time I notice that the people of the city are living their best lives.
They will put up their pools in their front yards, gazebos and trampolines without a care and enjoy a good bar-b-que!!!
Practically everyday you will here a variety of music and I can tell you it plays late into the early mornings and I have to admit sometimes I wish they would turn it off!!!
But .. in all this I am learning that people are making the best of what they have and I see love and laughter even in the midst of what others would deem property and chaos.
So I salute again the residents of the City Invincible- KEEP LIVING YOUR BEST LIVES.

Today we celebrate an historic day in history. All around Camden City there are events planned and the city is active and alive.
BUT…..coming together there are is an underlying problem that is evident and yet being overlooked and ignored and that is a danger to our children.
WHAT AM I SAYING?
All around us there are posts on social media., posters in Bordegas, articles and alerts about missing and exploited children of all ages.
Nowadays in our communities there is that look over the shoulder from a parent/guardian when a white van is passing, or the constant tugging or reminders in the stores to stay close, don’t wonder.
The dangers are so real and now it is not just one predator but an entire organization of people we have to be on guard for.
So while we the CITY INVINCIBLE prepare to enjoy our day of celebration be also aware of the dangers lurking.

It has been awhile… so much is happening in and around the wonderful city of Camden. The school district is transforming, the Mayor is implementing changes and everywhere you look there are significant changes with infrastructure. There is also the increase in police involvement at schools, events and in the overall day to day needs of community.
The City is on an upward trend.. way to go City Invincible!!!!!!

Writing about Camden City is very rewarding and in 2023 I will continue to highlight the great things about this City even in sad or heart breaking news.

For awhile I have not posted anything because of life circumstances but that is what this City Invincible is all about. Some days life takes us through uncharted and unexpected situations and it sometimes results in moments to just stop and reevaluate, heal, change but never stop.

So I am excited to continue on this journey and GET EXCITED- BECAUSE THIS NEXT ARTICLE IS LONG OVERDUE!!!

Today I had the wonderful experience of reading my children's' book "The Dragonfly" at the Riletta Cream Camden Library. My love for reading and writing came together in a profound way and I am left smiling and my heart happy. Sharing my book with my community and with the children I love was and is a memory I will cherish always. I also got to experience a treasure in this great city of Camden and that is the public library with rich resources for all. Today a story came alive and imagination met reality and lives were changed. This author is truly pleased. WAY TO GO CAMDEN- providing opportunities for your citizens to be Invincible~~!!!

I am so excited to celebrate another great moment here in the city of Camden. Yesterday I was blessed as an educator to receive fresh vegetable plants from Jackie Santiago founder of the North Camden Gardens LLC. The plants were used in our community school garden as well as gifted to the scholars for educational lessons in gardening. The scholars were filled with curiosity and began to think symbolically; asking questions and exploring concepts about plant life and the environment.
This is what we talk about when we say our City Invincible is amazing.
We are a city filled with rich resources where we as individuals make a difference and share greatness always.
Thanks to our wonderful citizen Jackie Santiago and her selfless act our City is flourishing and being beautified in so many ways!!!!

The excitement continues..
They came back early this morning at the beginning of the day and they meant business. The Department of Public Works in Camden City New Jersey brought the heavy machinery and the man power and cleaned up the illegal dumping!!!!

This journalist is excited and commend the department for answering the call to clean this site and doing it so expeditiously!!!!

When I say we are indeed showing that we are a City Invincible I mean it!!!

I want to post in my excitement for the Department of Public Works here in Camden City…
I called on yesterday to ask for a clean up of an area here in Camden due to illegal dumping and therefore deplorable conditions. Immediately an email was sent out within 10 minutes of my call and then I received a phone call and visit to the site within 24 hours of my call.
No delay and I am extremely pleased and looking forward to the cleanup and upkeep to come..
I will keep you posted readers with an update on this story with pics!!!

Well Well
So much has been happening in Camden do not know where to start.
Let’s dive in…
The City is alive and buzzing from construction to celebrations to projections.
The School District had major celebrations and even a parade with the Basketball teams from Camden High and Wilson being Champions in the Sport. Not to mention celebrations with Track and Flag football- more to come about this.
Then there are the repairs going on at 27th Streets.. YES YOU HEARD ME!!!!!
27th Street is getting fixed ASAP.
Listen when I tell you the City is progressing and doing well, it is so true.
Is there much yet to be done - Yes
But I want to highlight and celebrate as well because Camden is showing itself to be INVINCIBLE indeed!!!!

What do you know it is already March and the City of Camden continue to be a city rich with culture, history and innovations. The year opened with the City experiencing rising cases of COVID, apprehension and uncertainties but within 2 weeks of the New Year the City persevered and went on to celebrate the great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with community events all over the city with all age groups. Then there were Black History Month Celebrations in schools, businesses and churches with phenomenal speakers, authors, teachers and community leaders showcasing the best of Camden. We even saw an event at the KROC center to expunge records. I am amazed to see the life of Camden: the living organism of this CITY INVINCIBLE is truly remarkable.

I just could not wait to write about the neglect I have seen for a week now right here in our city!!!!
The railway sign has been on alert for a week now right on Bulson.
HB Wilson school and an apartment complex are both right there.
1. Can you imagine the constant noise hearing the railway alarm going off for residents that live nearby and school community?
2. No safety protocols in place at all for anyone in the vicinity!!!!
2. Would this happen anywhere else for 7 days straight?
