I think it's also right to talk about the toxicity óf some parents too.

We are always quick to conclude that children are stubborn, disobedient, and a nuisance to their parents, but then we forget that some parents are also making life difficult for their children.

We've heard and seen cases of mothers using abusive words on their children, vile words that harm the children.

Fathers open their mouths to compare an innocent, struggling child with his or her mate, thus resulting in the child feeling low about his ór her self-esteem.

We have heard and seen the physical, emotional, psychological, and even mental abuse that some of these parents expose their children to.

Biblically and morally, there is no justification for a child being stubborn and disobedient to their parents, but then what about toxic and bad parenting?

I may be making no sense in this writeup, but I can confidently say that 5 out of every 10 youth, teenagers, and children are in an abusive home.

You are nót comfortable staying and living with your parents, and anytime you leave home, that's the only time you are sure of your peace of mind.

You are just being respectful because it's your duty to be, but in reality, your house really doesn't feel like a hóme anymore, and aside from working on moving out, there's nothing else you can do.

One of the negative effects of all this is that, at the end of the day, we are left with a society filled with damaged children whó have grown up into adults.

We are filled with individuals who are battered with low self-esteem.

We are filled with men who haven't experienced love right from birth.

We are filled with women who have a negative stereotype against men, próbably from their father's nature.

I even think some of you can't confide in your parents anything that is bothering you because yóu are scared of their judgement.

There is no parent-child cordial relationship.

I know it's not perfect anywhere, but we can start from somewhere to prepare ourselves to do better.

So I'm asking; Will you be a better parent to your children or you will raise them the same way you were raised?
