I once asked a very successful woman to share her secret with me. She smiled and said to me…
“I started succeeding when I started leaving small fights for small fighters.
I stopped fighting those who gossiped about me…
I stopped fighting with my in laws…
I stopped fighting for attention…
I stopped fighting to meet peoples expectation of me…
I stopped fighting for my rights with inconsiderate people..
I stopped fighting to please everyone…
I stopped fighting to prove they were wrong about me….
I left such fights for those who have nothing else to fight…
And I started fighting for my vision, my dreams, my ideas and my destiny.
The day I gave up on small fights is the day I started becoming successful & so much more content.”
Some fights are not worth your time….. Choose what you fight for wisely.❤️

Will you... Hold my hand for a little while?
I don’t need you to save me
No need for you to fix anything
No need for you to hold my pain
But will you simply hold my hand?
I do not need your words
Your thoughts
Nor your shoulders to carry me
But will you sit here for a while with me?
Whilst my tears they stream
Whilst my heart it shatters
Whilst my mind plays tricks on me
Will you with your presence let me know that I am not alone, whilst I wander into my inner unknown?
For my darkness is mine to face
My pain is mine to feel
And my wounds are mine to heal
But will you sit with me here, while I courageously show up for it all my dear?
For I am bright because of my darkness
Beautiful because of my brokenness
And strong due to my tender heart
But will you take my hand lovingly, when I sometimes journey into the dark?
I don’t ask for you to take my darkness away
I don’t expect for you to brighten my day
And I don’t believe that you can mend my pain
But I would surely love if you could sit for a while and hold my hand, until I find my way out of my shadowland!
So will you... Hold my hand until I return again?

Yeah, I’ve been down those hard roads and I’ve had my heart broken, my hopes crushed and my light darkened..
And I’m still here-
Still standing.
Still strong.
I’ve heard all the things they’ve said about me and all the painful words they’ve thrown at me trying to cut me..
But those are the things will ever slay the heart of me.
I know all the words, heard all the hurt and felt all the pain..
And I learned from all of it.
I grew from each insult.
I evolved from every painful experience.
I refused to be diminished or defined by the torrential storms of life.
That’s just part of the journey.
It’s up to me to get up and rise again or stay down and give up.
No, they don’t know me- not the ones that would tell anyone that would listen that they do..
They’ve never walked in my shoes nor faced my battles.
I’m stronger for the struggles and I’m softer for the love..
I’m a perfectly balanced contradiction of rugged strength and softened love.
I may not always know the right thing to say or do, but I figure it out as I go sometimes.
And yes, I get it wrong a lot.
But that’s the thing about me:
I get back up, keep showing up and keep fighting.
Don’t you dare let anyone tell you how to shine, live or love..
And especially not who you are.
I didn’t.
And that has made all the difference for me in this world..
A soft heart and strong will in a world that can be cruel and harsh.
We can do this.
Together, one day, one step and one dream at a time.
It’s a beautiful thing to open your eyes to the light when you finally realize..
“I can do this.”
So, yes…let’s.
And hand in hand, let’s never look back.

You deserve something magic, something real. Someone who deeply cares about how you feel. You deserve someone whose heart breaks when they hear you cry. Someone who genuinely wants to see you thrive. You deserve someone whose mind is strong but heart is tender.

You deserve someone who will always stay to work things out rather than easily surrender. You deserve someone who brings calm instead of chaos to your soul. Someone who wants to love you passionately until you grow old. You deserve someone who wants to kiss your eyes and stare at you while you sleep. Someone who looks at you and their heart feels weak.

You deserve someone that loves you despite your fears and all your flaws. Not someone who shuts down and easily withdraws. You deserve someone who will guard your heart like it is Holy. Someone who is your safe space, who will always hold you closely.

You deserve someone that is your peace through all of life’s challenges. Someone that will bring you healing instead of cause you harm. You deserve someone whose love is grounded, genuine and godly. Someone who considers you a divine gift.

Someone who loves you wholly.

A Short Valuable Story

A young girl asked an elderly woman:
"Do I really need friends in life?"

The elderly woman responded:
"Yes. Life is truly very rough. There should be someone by your side with whom you can talk for hours without feeling that they would judge you; on whose shoulders you can cry, one who will give you emotional support. When no one will be there for you, they should be there. One who should help you share the good times and overcome the difficult ones."

The young girl asked:
"Is it true that a fake friend is more dangerous than an enemy?"

The elderly woman responded:
"Yes. It's because you know who your enemy is and you're not going to let them get close to you. But a false friend is pretending while getting your trust. They find out your vulnerabilities, your secrets and your dreams. They know which button to press and how to stab you in the back."

The young girl asked:
"How do I avoid being surrounded by fake friends?"

The elderly woman paused for a short moment, then asked,
"Between a small garden and a forest, which one has more snakes and scorpions?"

The young girl responded:
"The forest, sure!"

The elderly woman smiled, and then said:
"Good! When you keep your circle of friends small like a small garden, the less snakes and scorpions you have to worry about, even rats. The fewer people you hang out with, the fewer problems you have to deal with. When I was young, I had a very big group of friends. But as I grew old and wise with experience, my circle of friends became smaller. I realized that quality outweighs quantity when it comes to friendship. Don’t fool yourself by holding onto the illusion that everyone is your friend. You may have numerous acquaintances, but real friends will always be just a few people you love and trust. The best way to prevent yourself from falling into the fake friend trap is by being more mindful about the size of your circle."

"We never know but some people are going through the lowest of their lives and sometimes they couldn't even manage to reply a good morning back to your messages, couldn't afford to do a meet up, they cancel plans on the last minute, they lock up in their rooms, it takes time for them to function again. And that is why we must stay gentle and kind. The world is too heavy already for them to carry on their shoulders. We leave a mark to each other, remind yourself to leave a beautiful one."
