Hey everyone! I have a bit of bittersweet news to share.

As many of you know, Cali Dunbar and I are expecting our first child at the beginning of next year, with January 2nd as the estimated due date.

With the exciting and busy times ahead as new parents, I’ve decided to take roughly a year-long hiatus from my DJ project "Captain Marlinn" to focus on this new chapter and embrace fatherhood.

During this time, I'll still be doing AV work behind the scenes and creating new music, but I won't be releasing anything or taking any regular DJ/VJ bookings. However, I’ll continue my full-time AV tech work, including consulting, weddings, karaoke, conferences, concerts, and anything else you may need speakers and lights at.

That being said, I still have a couple of bookings lined up, so if you want to catch one of my final sets before my hiatus, keep an eye out for those announcements.

My current collaborations with artists and personal projects will be released around the birth of our child to commemorate this special moment.

I won’t be as active on social media during this period, as I want to focus on developing myself and our family unit. However, the occasional Insa story may pop up from time to time.

If a special opportunity arises, like opening for a headliner or playing at a particular festival, I might consider it.

We're also starting a baby registry and will be having a baby shower on November 2nd at the Copper King Hotel and Event Center. More information about that will be announced soon.

After my hiatus, I plan to go on a spree and take as many shows as possible. But in the meantime, feel free to reach out to me at [email protected] for AV consultations or if you're planning a really special show.

I know it sucks that you’ll be seeing less of me next year, but I plan to use this time to refine my personal sound and come back with some amazing stuff for everyone.

I cant fully express just how grateful I am for all the opportunities I've had given to me and all the amazing people I've met in the last 3 years. Its been a real journey of self discovery, and there were countless times I've had to slow down just to appreciate the situation I'm in.

Well, it looks like the cats out of the bag!

I’m beyond ecstatic to announce I’ll be opening for VCTRE alongside some of favorite producers in the state!

You already know I got a bunch of new music just for this show.

I’ve been trying for the last two years to get a booking at the Zebra, so to have one of my first shows there be opening for VCTRE is just insane to me.

Found the coolest thing at a warehouse sale this weekend. This is a 1981 Casiotone 701, a 61 key analogue synth with a lot of cool features. Covered in dust but nearly mint condition I couldn’t believe what I was seeing! For a grand total of $1 I brought this bad boy home and you know imma be sampling the s**t out of it.

If any of the homies who know how to program are interested, I wanna try and make a vst out of this so that everyone can have access to these cool vintage sounds. As far as I could tell this synth hasn’t been digitized yet so it could be a fun little (paid) project. At the very least expect a sample pack in the next 4-6 months.
