extending from 8 miles west of Parnell to 6 miles southwest of
Verbena to near Moriah, moving southeast at 40 mph.

* At 257 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Vaiden, or 9
miles south of Marion, moving southeast at 45 mph.

THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR HAMBURG, MARION JUNCTION, AND
SELMA.

HAZARD...Baseball size hail and 70 mph wind gusts.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be severely injured.
Expect shattered windows, extensive damage to roofs,
siding, and vehicles.

The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Tornado Watch for portions of
Central and northern Alabama

* Effective this Wednesday morning and afternoon from 1005 AM
until 500 PM CDT.

* Primary threats include...
A few tornadoes likely with a couple intense tornadoes possible
Widespread damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 80
mph likely
Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 3
inches in diameter likely

SUMMARY...Scattered supercells are expected to form through the
afternoon across central Alabama, and an additional storm cluster
will move east-southeastward from northern Mississippi. All severe
hazards will be possible with these storms, including very large
hail up to 3 inches in diameter, damaging outflow gusts up to 80
mph, and a few tornadoes (a couple of which could be strong).

The tornado watch area is approximately along and 55 statute miles
north and south of a line from 50 miles northwest of Tuscaloosa AL
to 10 miles south southeast of Auburn AL. For a complete depiction

WOU1).

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for
tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for
threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements
and possible warnings.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

central Clarke County.

of Yellow Bluff, or 11 miles east of Thomasville, moving east at 20
mph.

Silver Alert

85-year-old Howard Blazer was last seen on May 15 at 10:30 a.m. in the area of Woodgate Drive wearing a burgundy short sleeve shirt, light blue pants, a white Nike hat and Nike shoes. Police say Blazer may be living with a condition that may impair his judgment.

Blazer is described as 5’8″ and 155 lbs. with gray or partially gray hair and hazel eyes.

Police believe he could be driving a red 2007 Honda CRV bearing Alabama tag number 29A10RR.

If anyone has any information regarding the whereabouts of Howard Blazer, please contact the Millbrook Police Department at (334) 285-6832 or call 911.

* At 546 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over Ridge, or 7 miles southwest of Scott, moving east
at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

Scott and Broussard around 615 PM CDT.

Selma, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Prattville, Selma, Valley Grande, Selmont-West Selmont, Autaugaville,
White Hall, Benton, Booth, Vida Junction, Gardner Island, Tyler,
Autauga County Airport, Old Cahaba Park, Dallas County Horse Arena,

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 AM CDT for central, south
central and east central Alabama.
