I apologize for not posting yesterday, but my family takes priority and needed me. We worked hard yesterday, I just had a family emergency last night and couldn’t think about social media. My sister Renee is holding her own, but struggling. It’s going to be a long tough road to recovery, so please keep her in your prayers daily. She needs all the prayers she can get.🥺

Yesterday and today we worked on removing a landslide from behind a home in Bat Cave off of Middle Fork Road. We are using our small truck to move the dirt onto other properties we are working in the area. It’s really good dirt, so thankfully we are repurposing it to build other driveways back.

I’m mentally exhausted, but we are still making good progress!

On a brighter note, Carolina Cat - Asheville came through in a big way today and brought me a dozer identical to the one I was scammed on, and are selling it to me at the same price the scam one was!!!🙌🏻. The donation account has raised quite a bit of money towards the loss, and CAT has given me a rent to own deal that gives me 6 months to pay it off.❤️🇺🇸. Praying that the kindness keeps pouring in!! 🙏 I’m going to put a crew on paying jobs while I work myself with a my crew to continue my donations and volunteering 7 days a week. We are getting through this, and God has provided a way as always. I have so much on my plate, but it’s nothing I can’t handle, and am absolutely not slowing down until my mission is fulfilled.

Remember when Wright Brothers crews worked around the clock to repair the road to Chimney Rock? That critical work laid the foundation for the next phase, and now, a return to normalcy for the community is one step closer. An NCDOT contractor is paving the once-destroyed thoroughfare, making it possible for more help and resources to reach the town. It's incredible to see how far this project has come, and we're proud to have played a part in restoring this vital connection.

A Bering Air commuter plane carrying 10 people crashed into sea ice near Nome, Alaska, on February 6, 2025, after rapidly losing altitude and speed. Search crews found the wreckage 34 miles southeast of Nome the next day, confirming no survivors. The aircraft, a Cessna 208B Grand Caravan EX, was traveling from Unalakleet to Nome when it vanished from radar. Among the victims were employees of the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium. Harsh weather conditions, including snow and fog, complicated recovery efforts. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has launched an investigation into the cause of the crash, marking one of Alaska’s deadliest aviation disasters in recent years.

Today has been a tuff day for our family. We laid our beloved Remi to rest this morning. He has been a part of our family for 15 years and within minutes we also lost my Aunt Kimberly Sullivan. Please keep our families in your prayers. 😢❤️🙏

Hope For Crisis - Another couple in a camper!!

This couple lost almost everything in the flood except their vehicle, which was damaged.

The guy almost lost his job because of too many days missed. They gave their last money to a guy to fix their car and he didn’t fix it.

Then Lorelei Garnes found them and started connecting dots.

Mountain Projects is paying to get their vehicle fixed and also paid their camper lot rent for two months.

Brenda donated the nice 5th wheel camper!

AMAZING NEWS!!! The tiny town of Hot Springs NC was one of the most heavily devastated by Helene, and the destruction of the Hot Springs Resort & Spa was overwhelming & emotional for everyone who has visited the town's most beloved attraction.

Now, nearly 4 months after the storm, we're thrilled to announce that the resort's world-renowned mineral baths will be reopening on February 14!!!

This major milestone is the result of months of hard work by incredible volunteers, the resort's maintenance & leadership teams, town leadership, and local business owners.

Note that Helene recovery is still a work in progress. The resort property and town of Hot Springs are still undergoing repairs, and they ask for your patience and understanding as they continue to improve the experience.
