North Shore, thank you for a special night. Thank you Off Cabot crew - Zac, Ben, and Chris - for your hospitality (and sweet set design, Chris), Stacie for being my right hand, PG, my sound tech, for recording the show (episode to come), and all of you who came out, listened, laughed and cried with me, asked questions, and shared your great stories. I am especially grateful to the family of Beth Brodie for marking her birthday by joining me in Beverly last night. Thank you, Sean and Stephanie.

These shows have become something I look forward to. Getting to spend time with you and hear your stories is impactful. I plan to come back in the new year. Let me know what you want to talk about (I have the second list of cases that keeps growing).

🇬🇧🇺🇸 🔎🪓We get transcontinental in our discussion of this infamous Massachusetts murder case. British friends, hosts Nicky and Lisa of The Red Rabbit Hole Podcast, breakdown the case for and against Lizzie Borden’s guilt in the gruesome axe murder of her father and stepmother in 1892 in Fall River, Massachusetts. October 4, 1973, Nashua, NH — 22-year-old Dorothy Ann Bois was reported missing. WMUR reports she was living on Kinsley Street with her husband, Kenneth Bois. She has brown hair, hazel eyes, stood 4 feet, 10 inches tall and weighed about 100 pounds. Nashua police reopened the investigation into her disappearance in 2009 when they executed search warrants at properties on Main Dunstable Road and Woodbury Drive, but it is unclear what, if anything, was found in these searches.

We know cases can be solved when people talk and share tips that could connect things that may already be known. Link to New Hampshire Cold Case Unit below.

Wednesday is spaghetti day. It is also episode release day. Let's see how it works out for everyone for the new season. In episode 71, we talk about Charline Rosemond. It is a story that needs to be told. Special thanks to her sister Rose for taking time to talk with me and answer questions about the facts surrounding her case. Her unsolved case.

Charline Rosemond was born February 5th, 1986 in Boston. One of six siblings. Charline and her younger sister Roserlie, who goes by Rose, are the youngest and the two siblings who share the same parents. The Rosemonds are a close family. The youngest daughters were living at home when Charline went missing. It was an incredibly hard for them. Still is. The family lived in Somerville for about five years before they moved to Everett, a smaller city about 4 miles away. The Rosemonds had lived 10 minutes from Union Square & Mid Nite Convenience, the area where Charline would be found on April 13, 2009.

There isn’t a lot about Charline’s life available. I asked her sister so I could tell a story about her, to add her presence. I have talked about her story a lot, especially over this last year. Charline was killed, targeted maybe, and the person or persons who did this, who set her up, are still out there. Charline was a driven and focused woman with big dreams, dreams that I have no doubt she would have achieved, outperformed, making way for what she would accomplish next. A word her sister used about her is savvy. At 23, she’d mapped out her moves. I wish I could have been that motivated at 23. I was not.

In an attempt to try to illustrate the kind of person Charline was, a vibrant, light-up-the-room kind of woman, and I say that about absolutely no one, but you can see it in her photos. Always the best dressed in any room - to the nines. Despite very serious subject matter, I somehow managed to get South Park, 311's energy, Fluffernutter, Meredith from Grey's Anatomy, and Leon Russell references in this episode.

Hey💀Spooky👻 Folx,

Salem, Massachusetts is witchy and cool, but keep your head about you if you go. It’s an actual mob scene. The locals have it on lock and you must plan ahead.

For those planning to visit Salem this fall, please keep in mind the city is asking visitors to use the commuter rail, ferry, or one of the free satellite parking shuttles rather than trying to drive and park in Salem. Last year the city of 44,000 residents experienced an average of 65,000 visitors on October weekends. For perspective, there are only 4,000 public parking spaces in the city.

More information about the parking shuttles and public transportation can be found at www.hauntedhappenings.org/maps-info

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. It’s never too early to talk about what people go through in the midst of a violent relationship, and when trying to escape violence.

“Why don’t you leave?” Because it can be terrifying and dangerous. There is so much more at stake.

••••• Exiting the relationship is the most unsafe time for a victim. Every person’s situation is unique, and you may be unable to leave a situation for a complex combination of different reasons.

If you’re contemplating leaving an abusive relationship or struggling in one that you cannot leave, consider contacting The Hotline to speak confidentially with an advocate, and take a look at our resources on leaving safely.

Harmony Montgomery’s mother, Crystal Sorey, filed suit against the state of New Hampshire Dept of Health and Human Services and DCYF, alleging that social workers ignored warnings that 5-year-old Harmony was being physically abused while in her father’s care. The father, who’s been convicted of her murder, was awarded custody in February 2019. Harmony was last seen alive by her mother during a video call in April 2019.
Harmony Montgomery is still missing.
