Alejandro became the eighth leader of Woodland Park Zoo in its 117-year history, assuming the helm in May 2016. He is internationally known for his vision to define a new relationship between humans and nature by helping to restore the deep, affective bond between people and animals. He advocates for zoos as the best community institutions to create a social movement for conservation, to foster science learning beyond the classroom, and to ensure that all people have access to nature, regardless of socioeconomic background.

She is the founder of Mariachi Tesoro de Highline High School. Her children, family, and students are her greatest inspirations.

Ladies and gentlemen! a few weeks ago we have an awesome interview with Shelli Park, an interior designer, residential architect, and multi-disciplinary artist who lives in Burien, WA.
Shelli believes in the positive impact of arts and culture within the community and its impact on economic development. She has curated and organized various arts events and organizations since 1999.
Shelli is currently the Chair of the Burien Planning Commission, Burien Film Festival Director, Co-Founder of the Burien UFO Festival, and Co-Founder and Board Secretary for Mural Masters and owns the design company Crimson Park Design.

Ladies and Gentlemen! Korum Bischoff - Bainbridge Island Museum of Art, Deputy Director.
He started his career in arts non-profits at One Reel, working as a graphic designer for Bumbershoot, Teatro ZinZanni, and Summer Nights at the Pier. Over time, Korum built up his marketing chops and became Marketing Manager for Teatro ZinZanni where, when not working on the legendary show, he was part of a small team that developed new after-hours projects for the circus tent and developed its education programs. After nearly twelve years, he left the project to become Director of Communications & Events for Bloedel Reserve before finding his way to BIMA which he feels is where he was always meant to be. At BIMA, Korum oversees Marketing & Communications, Cultural & Community Programs, Digital Media & Online Programs, Visitor Experience, and the Museum Store.

Our Highline Voices: Ce Atl Tonalli & the Center for WA Cultural Traditions, presented by Humanities WA and ArtsWA.
Master Artist Araceli Jaime and her apprentice Karol Alaniz are Aztec dancers in the Seattle-based group Ce Atl Tonalli. As part of the 2024-25 Heritage Arts Apprenticeship Program, they will spend a year transmitting knowledge about traditional medicine and practices.
Violeta Martin is the Director of New Audience Engagement and Folklife Specialist at Humanities Washington.
