From Clamshacks to Rowing Shells

The Water Society is a podcast by a sailor, writer, storyteller, and photographer living in Maine and traveling all over. Anne Bryant spends a lot of time with people who live and work on and near rivers, lakes, and oceans. They're clam shack managers, owners of fancy boats, harbormasters, swimming instructors, seaweed harvesters, worm diggers, delivery drivers, mailboat captains, tall-ship crew, vacation home caretakers, ferry drivers, competitive rowers... THE WATER SOCIETY.

This podcast features their stories, as told by the people who lived them, to let you in, if just a little bit, to the extremely diverse world of people who are gravitated to this special, sometimes-inhospitable, and adventure-inspiring element we all so deeply depend on.
