arrested Mark Swearingen, 31, and Mackenzie O’Bryan, 20, of Cottondale, on 11 felony counts of possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM), along with separate additional charges. The investigation was conducted by FDLE’s Panama City Field Office, with assistance from and Homeland Security Investigations.

‼️ WARRANT SCAM ALERT ‼️

We have received several reports of someone, claiming to be from a law enforcement agency, calling and making demands. They will say that you have an outstanding warrant for your arrest and you need to send them money. THIS IS A SCAM. No law enforcement agency will call you requesting money, nor will they threaten you if you do not give them money. Also, law enforcement agencies WILL NOT call to alert you of a warrant being issued for your arrest. Typically these scammers will accuse you of missing a jury duty summons or having an unpaid traffic fine.

Scammers are able to spoof their phone numbers so it looks like they are calling from an actual law enforcement agency.

They will use the threat of immediate arrest to create panic and pressure you into paying.

DO NOT ENGAGE. Do not provide any personal information or payment details.

HANG UP! Immediately end the call.

If you are trying to get home or travel to Tallahassee, State Road 267 Northbound is OPEN and will take you to US90. Please be advised that US90 is bumper to bumper due to the closure of I-10.

IMPORTANT I-10 CLOSURE ALERT: Effective 7p.m. EST tonight (Jan 22), Interstate 10 (I-10) will be CLOSED in both directions from the Alabama/Florida State Line to Exit 192 (U.S. 90) in Gadsden County due to remaining snow, ice, and water on the roadway combined with incoming hard freeze temperatures overnight resulting in icy and dangerous conditions on bridges and roadways. Please seek alternative routes until further notice.

With conditions changing rapidly and bringing unexpected circumstances, stay put and off the roads for your safety. Remember to heed all local and state guidance.

While clearing I-10 remains FDOT's top priority, crews are also hard at work clearing bridges on the state highway system across NW Florida like the Trammel Bridge on SR 20 between Calhoun and Liberty counties.
