Hi everyone- David from Spinitron here. I help out with our Spinitron Search work and our music industry connections. Wanted to share something we’re excited to announce!
Spinitron has been a proud supporter of the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System (IBS) for years, and we’re excited to once again celebrate its stations together in NYC on March 7-8, 2025. We think this is going to be the best year yet because for the first time ever, IBSNYC is featuring an entire afternoon of workshops dedicated to Music Programming, put together by our friends at NACC and FairPlay. We’ll be there as part of Programming 101 AMA with NACC and Spinitron.
We think the day will be a great opportunity for stations to connect, plan how to partner with the music industry and artists, grow to their audience, and build a diverse community on and off the air. We want to see you all there so we’re giving away a pair of tickets so you can join us in NYC! To be eligible, all we need for you is to fill out this survey so our we all can get to know you ahead of IBSNYC 2025 and plan the make it an even more amazing event!
We’ll be giving away the tickets in the new year, so submit out before January 15th!
You can learn more about the Music Programming schedule, including the opening night party with The New Colossus Festival here: https://www.ibsradio.org/music2025

10 core broadcast stations (KAFM, KBUT, KDNK, KHEN, KJAC, KLZR, KOTO, KOYC, KRFC, KSUT) air over 50 frequency-hours of programming a week, spread across 23 FM frequencies in CO, NM and UT.
Markets covered include Denver, Boulder, Crested Butte, Northern Colorado, Cheyenne, Steamboat Springs, Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Durango, Telluride, Vail, Summit County, Salida, Grand Junction and many others.
Host Chris K., aka “goat,” is no stranger to Colorado music and radio. Chris has been on the air in Northern Colorado off and on since 1978, with on-air stints at KPAW (classic rock), KGLL (country), KCSU (public radio, Americana, rock & jazz shows), KSQI (AOR & AAA), KIMN (CHR / Hot AC), KUAD (Top 40 / AC) and more. Chris is currently on air Saturday mornings from 6AM-12PM and Sunday evenings from 5PM-8PM at 105.5 The Colorado Sound.
Chris K. has been a character in the music scene along the Front Range of Colorado in five decades now and despite the grass he chews on regularly, he shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.
