Our Story
Theresa M. Lyons has been involved in the sport of dogs since 1990 and has bred, owned, co-owned, shown and championed multiple Ridgebacks as well as co-owned multiple Top Ten, Westminster and Best in National Specialty Show winners. Currently she is co-breeding, owning and showing Ridgebacks under the Lyonnese prefix. She competes in conformation, coursing, dock diving, agility, obedience and rally.
Over the years, she has attended many Hound, Sporting and Working dog seminars and National Specialties. Theresa enjoys researching pedigrees, health and breed cultures. She has judged multiple Sweepstakes in the U.S., including regional specialties.
A professional graphic artist and talented dog photographer, Theresa founded the award-winning* Ridgeback Register magazine in 1995, and made it synonymous with eye-catching design, stunning photography and quality journalism. She published her final issue in 2018 in an effort to pursue judging status.
Theresa is also the creator and designer of the 365-day Rhodesian Ridgeback Rescue Calendar, which has been produced since 2000. She is the Art Director for Sighthound Review, Editor and Art Director for Pointer Points, and a freelance canine photographer and graphic designer. All have recognized by the DWAA*.
