The last two years have been so difficult for so many, in more ways we even thought possible - conflict, extreme poverty, hunger, oppression unrelenting or developing across the world, and in the middle of all that a pandemic of proportions unseen by most of us alive today.

Thank you, to each and everyone of you creating art that documents the times we’re living in. Thank you to each of you creating art to heal yourselves, your family, your community. Thank you, to each of you fighting for the right to express with freedom and humanity. You matter, you make a difference. Even if you can’t see it.

Would you like to be able to create an profile to share your work with others? Would you want a micro-social network type of site dedicated to the ? Would you want to be able to learn about opportunities to participate in shows, competitions, or other events? Articles on professional development?

Today we celebrate International Human Rights Day across the world.

In the United States, we still have a lot of work to do in addressing the rights of our Black and Brown brothers and sisters, those of Indian Nations, immigrants, and women.

What are some of the most pressing issues for you, wherever you are? How can we address them through our art?

GRANT FUNDING OPPORTUNITY FOR U.S.-BASED ARTISTS!

In light of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the artist community, the Foundation for Contemporary Arts launched the FCA Emergency Grants COVID-19 Fund.

If you are an artist who has suffered financial losses as the result of a project cancellation or postponement due to COVID-19 you can apply for relief through the FCA Emergency Grants COVID-19 Fund.

Grants range from $500 to $2,500, with the average being about $1,600. Deadline to apply (online only) is March 15, 2021. Don't delay!
