Coal Country Sports Complex Cookout

The Coal Country Sports Complex foundation will be holding a cookout at Randy’s Market in Gillespie on Saturday, October 26th. Serving will start at 10 a.m. and continue until all sandwiches are sold!

Pork burgers, butterfly porkchops, water and soda will be for sale.

Please come out and support the continued development of the area’s sports complex.

Miners win at Bunker Hill

The Miners bring home a big win over Bunker Hill Feb. 16. The Crazies were out in force to support the Miners from the stands.

By far, these unassuming girls don't get the credit they deserve. They are at every game, without fail, and work very hard in support of the Miners whether or not a championship is involved. THANK YOU to all the Miner Cheerleaders!

FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT!

A strong contingency came out representing Miner Nation at the championship game of the 2016 Macoupin County Tournament at Southwestern High School in which the Miners defeated the Panthers of North Mac 62-58. Sure, they got under the skin of some of the opposing fans, which, of course, made it that much more fun *wink* This sort of spirit and energy, along with a high level of competition, is why the Macoupin County Tournament has been around for 98 years!
