بمناسبة تذكار نياحة القديس الفنان البابا مكاريوس الثالث عاوز أقولكم إن الصليب دة هو أهم صليب أنتجه دير القديسة دميانة ببراري بلقاس للراهبات، لأن رسمة الصليب دة هي أساساً رسمة صليب من فن اليوتا رسمها البابا مكاريوس الثالث بإيده.... البابا مكاريوس هو من أبناء دير الأنبا بيشوي بوادي النطرون وإشتهر برسمه فن اليوتا.... ربنا ينيح نفسه ويشفعلنا قدام ربنا يسوع المسيح وينفع الكنيسة بصلواته....

علينا أن نعلم الصغار

تذكار نياحة القمص البار الأب لوقا سيداروس (26 أغسطس 2020)

يتذكر الأب لوقا في مذكراته الأيام التي قضاها متلمذًا ومُدربًا على يد القديس البابا كيرلس مباشرة بعد سيامته:

في بعض القداسات التي كنت أصليها مع قداسته أيام الآحاد في الكاتدرائية المرقسية، كان البابا يطلب مني إلقاء العظة بعد قراءة الإنجيل المقدس. وكان كثيرًا ما يقول لي إن 10 كلمات بفهم أفضل بكثير من 10000 كلمة باللسان.

كنت أقبّل يده وأخرج لإلقاء العظة وبعد ذلك أعود وأقبّل يده مرة أخرى، فيقول لي "شي إن رومبي" (تعبير قبطي يعني "أتمنى لك مائة عام أخرى"، وهو مجاملة عظيمة). كان يقول "جميل يا ابني!" "وكنت أتمنى نعمة عظيمة. وكنت أسعد كثيراً برغباته.

كان البابا يطلب مني أن أستأذن الأب يوسف مجلي، رئيس كهنة الكاتدرائية، قبل أن أخرج.

كنت أذهب إلى الأب يوسف وأقول له إن البابا أخبرني أنه يجب أن أستأذنه لإلقاء العظة.

كان الكاهن العجوز يقول: ""يا إلهي كم أنا خاطئ!"" وكان يندفع نحو البابا ويقول: ""أنا خاطئ يا قداستك، فكيف يمكنه أن يستأذن مني؟""

وكان البابا يقول: ""علينا أن نعلم الصغار، الأب يوسف، كيف يتصرفون."" هكذا كان البابا يظهر الاحترام للكهنة الأكبر سناً ويحتفظ باحترامهم كما أمر الرسول."

Commemoration of the repose of the righteous Hegumen Fr. Luke Sidarous (August 26, 2020)

In his memoirs, Fr. Luke reminisces on the days he spent discipled and trained directly by St. Pope Kyrillos immediately following his ordination:

In some of the liturgies that I had prayed with His Holiness on Sundays at St. Mark’s Cathedral, the Pope had asked me to give the sermon after the holy Gospel reading. He would often tell me that 10 words with understanding are far better than 10,000 words with the tongue.

I used to kiss his hand and go out to give the sermon and after, I would come back and kiss his hand again, and he would tell me, “Shey en Rompi” (A Coptic expression meaning, “Wishing you a hundred years more,” which is a great compliment). He would say, “Beautiful, my son!” and would wish exceeding grace. I used to be so happy with his wishes.

The Pope would ask me to take the permission of Fr. Youssef Megaly, the head priest of the Cathedral, before I stepped outside.
I would go to Fr. Youssef and say the Pope told me that I must take your permission to give the sermon.

The old priest would say, “Oh how sinful I am!” And he would hurl over to the Pope, and say, “I am sinful, Your Holiness, how could he take permission from me?”

And the Pope would say, “We have to teach the young ones, Fr. Youssef, how to behave.” That was the way the Pope showed reverence to the elder priests and retained their respect as the apostle commanded.

On this day, the church celebrates the return of the body of St. Macarius to his monastery in the desert of Sheahat (Scetis). After the departure of St. Macarius, some of the natives of the city of Shanshour (Shabsheer) came and stole his body. They built a large church for him, and placed the body in it. Later on, his body was moved to another town where he stayed for four hundred forty years, till the time of Pope Michael V (Anba Mikhail V), the 71st Pope. When Pope Michael went to the wilderness to observe the holy fast in the monastery, he sighed and said, "How much I yearn that God would help us so that the body of our father Anba Macarius be in our midst."
Later on, the abbot of the monastery, the Archpriest (Hegumen) Michael, went with some of the elders on certain business of the monastery, and they thought of bringing back the body of the saint to their monastery. They came to where the body was, but the people of the town and the governor assembled against them with swords and sticks and prevented them from taking the body. The elders spent the night in great sorrow. The governor saw that night a vision of St. Macarius telling him, "Let my children take my body and do not prevent them." The governor was frightened and he called the elders and gave them the body. The elders took the body with great joy, and many faithful people followed them to bid the body farewell.
When the ship arrived in Mariot, they spent the night. The next morning they celebrated the Divine Liturgy and received the Holy Mysteries. Then they loaded the body on a camel to the wilderness. Midway through the journey, they needed to rest, but the Abbot said, "As the Lord lives, we do not rest until the Lord shows us the place where the angel of the Lord held our father's hand." So they kept moving until the camel knelt down and did not get up. The camel started to turn his head around, licking the body and bowing his head down to the ground. Then the elders knew that was the right place, and they glorified God.
As they reached the monastery, all the monks came out holding candles and singing. Then they carried the body on their shoulders and went into the church in a great celebration, and God performed many wonders on that day.
May his prayers be with us and Glory be to our God forever.

في هذا اليوم تحتفل الكنيسة بعودة جسد القديس مقاريوس إلى ديره ببرية شيهات. بعد نياح القديس مقاريوس جاء بعض أهل مدينة شنشور وسرقوا جسده، وبنوا له كنيسة كبيرة ووضعوا الجسد فيها، ثم نقل جسده بعد ذلك إلى بلدة أخرى حيث أقام أربعمائة وأربعين سنة حتى تولى البابا ميخائيل الخامس البابا الحادي والسبعين. ولما ذهب البابا ميخائيل إلى البرية ليصوم صوماً مقدساً في الدير تنهد وقال: "كم أنا مشتاق أن يساعدنا الله حتى يكون جسد أبينا الأنبا مقاريوس بيننا". وبعد ذلك ذهب رئيس الدير القمص ميخائيل مع بعض الشيوخ في بعض أعمال الدير، ففكروا في إعادة جسد القديس إلى ديرهم. فجاءوا إلى حيث كان الجسد، ولكن أهل البلدة والوالي اجتمعوا عليهم بالسيوف والعصي ومنعوهم من أخذ الجسد. وبات الشيوخ ليلتهم في حزن شديد. ورأى الوالي في تلك الليلة رؤيا للقديس مقاريوس يقول له: "دع أبنائي يأخذون جسدي ولا تمنعهم". فخاف الوالي واستدعى الشيوخ وأعطاهم الجسد. فأخذ الشيوخ الجسد بفرح عظيم، وتبعهم كثيرون من المؤمنين لتوديع الجسد.
ولما وصلت السفينة إلى مريوط قضوا الليل. وفي الصباح التالي احتفلوا بالقداس الإلهي وتناولوا الأسرار المقدسة. ثم حملوا الجسد على جمل إلى البرية. وفي منتصف الطريق احتاجوا إلى الراحة، ولكن الرئيس قال: "حي هو الرب، لا نرتاح حتى يرينا الرب المكان الذي أمسك فيه ملاك الرب بيد أبينا". فظلوا يمشون حتى جثا الجمل ولم يقم. فبدأ الجمل يدور برأسه ويلعق الجسد ويحني رأسه إلى الأرض، فعرف الشيوخ أن هذا هو المكان الصحيح، فمجدوا الله.
ولما وصلوا إلى الدير خرج كل الرهبان يحملون الشموع ويرتلون، ثم حملوا الجسد على أكتافهم ودخلوا الكنيسة في احتفال عظيم، وصنع الله عجائب كثيرة في ذلك اليوم.
صلاته تكون معنا ولربنا المجد دائمًا.
