Gemma is inspired by the brightest star in the Northern Crown. That brilliant spot in the summer sky encouraged us to cross the divide between readers and writers—from well-loved authors encouraging first-time readers to storytellers opening distant worlds for readers at home. Jewel of Corona Borealis, the exquisite binary star Gemma makes us look up. The world is much bigger and much smaller than we imagine, and reading helps us see that.
