Lets #getinthegroove
Berklee Groove is Berklee College of Music’s student voice, an online newspaper run by musicians, for musicians. By utilising Berklee's impressive network of alumni and industry connections, Berklee Groove provides a relatable and inspirational platform to help aspiring music and entertainment students '#getinthegroove' and turn their dreams into reality.
Berklee Groove was established in 1997 as a biweekly printed newspaper, but with the 2009 website launch it became an online-only publication. In 2018, Berklee Groove went back to periodic printings called Special Editions.
However with the relaunch in November 2019, under the direction of Editor-in-Chief Francesca ‘Ceskie’ Rijks, it aims to increase its reach substantially throughout Boston and the music industry at large. It has been dramatically updated with new branding, platforms and vision. Berklee Groove is gathering unique content from interviewing artists, producers, managers, makeup artists, choreographers, lighting designers, CEOs, social media influencers, and many other niche professions that come together to make an artist successful.
Content includes interviews, commentary and reviews of local Boston and Berklee Music Shows, Releases, Industry, Wellness and Fashion. It features current and past Berklee students as well as established artists from across the globe. Content also includes a weekly curated Spotify playlist of Alumni and student releases, and an event calendar of student shows.
