Curtis "Daywalker" Reid founded Livingroom Entertainment in 2003 as an independent recording company. Daywalker had a vision of developing extremely talented individuals into quality artists and performers. He had grown tired of the lack of acknowledgement of talented people in the upper northeastern region. Daywalker was determined to prove that not all great artists are from New York, Atlanta, C
hicago, and LA. Thus, he worked diligently with his co-owner and wife, Bernadette(lovingly known as Bernie), to establish a record label that is respected within the entertainment industry. Livingroom has developed local artists such as, rapper, Skell the Revelator, and songstress, Keivia Dickerson...aka kevia. Livingroom Entertainment has collaborated with other artists and producers like Teddy Riley, Brian Michael Cox, Jazzy Pha, Candie Burress, Young Lloyd/Murder Inc., Goodie Mobb, and the pioneer of rap, Kurtis Blow to name a few. As Livingroom Entertainment evolved, Daywalker realized that the industry was changing. With the advancements in technology, many record companies began to lose money due to low record sales and increased downloading via Itunes and increased piracy of music. Therefore, Daywalker and his team decided to move into the promotions realm and began to promote various shows and performances at clubs in Boston, Atlanta, New York, Philadelphia, and Miami. Livingroom Entertainment has promoted shows for artists such as, Young Lloyd, Jadakiss, Fat Joe, and Pierre the Comedian. Moving forward, Livingroom Entertainment will continue to restructure and readjust to the ever-changing world of music and entertainment. While maintaining the focus on developing and promoting quality artists, Daywalker and the Livingroom Entertainment family are looking towards the future and the many opportunities that the industry holds for the company.
