This is a post to appreciate your drag performers.

Many of your entertainers are doing this full time, but for a performer like me it’s a hustle.

I work teaching young adults 2 days a week helping them craft their voice, acting and pageantry skills. I spend 3 nights a week hustling around a bar, and also help my older sister with her makeup business who graciously let me take a back seat this season so I can focus more on Rose Quartz and build this business up. I do this all while staying up late styling wigs, doing costumes, and paying these damn bills, going to the gym, and still trying to have some semblance of a social and dating life.

The best part about all of this is I wouldn’t change it for the world. Am I tired? ABSOLUTLEY. Does my body hurt? ABSOLUTLEY. But the beauty of this is it’s the hustle of chasing your dreams. It’s the hustle working your ass off when you don’t have anymore to give.

I’m beyond grateful for the amazing following I have. In almost 4 years I have built such an army behind me with the best support system. I have produced my own shows, and met some of the best people. The fact that drag puts you in contact with the most genuine and hard working people never ceases to amaze me.

Appreciate your performers, they all work hard and we truly rely on the support, and following of all of you!

I’m sure he was saying some wild things here.

This was my first show and he was so proud of me and everything I accomplished on this day.

I know he’s here with me every step…but this month being Pancreatic Cancer Awarness there are so many memories that pop up and remind me of how loved he made me and how lucky I was to have a dad that supported me in everything I did.

I only wish he could be here in person and see the dreams that I put into reality. How I have his drive constantly (trying) to build new costumes and rhinestoning the hell out of them.

How when Im on stage and the lights hit me, I feel like he’s there dancing right on the side of me.

Todays one of those days where I was so stressed out that I wish I could call him, show up at the store with a coffee and bitch about everything under the sun.

You are behind so much of what I do and all I’m saying is I miss you. 🦚
