The Caddo Parish Commission is providing an additional free holiday food distribution event for Caddo Parish citizens.

The distribution will take place Saturday, December 20 at 9am and 10:30am at the sites listed below (please note, some sites have changed since November's event).

Please note that the event is first come, first served.

Thanks to the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana for their partnership for our food distribution events!

R.I.P Donyelle Jones 🕊️
(July 3, 1979 – December 2, 2025)

Donyelle Denise Wilson — known to fans as Donyelle Jones — rose to fame as a finalist on Season 2 of So You Think You Can Dance in 2006, where her vibrant fusion of hip-hop and jazz dance earned her a third-place finish.

Diagnosed with stage 3C breast cancer in 2016, Donyelle courageously shared her journey publicly, undergoing a double mastectomy, rounds of chemotherapy, and eventually facing metastatic cancer.

Even as her health declined, she returned to dance in July 2025 — teaching her first class in four years — reaffirming that dance remained her passion, her purpose, and her “safe place.”

On December 2, 2025, at 8:34 a.m., her family announced on social media that Donyelle “transitioned.” They remembered her as: “a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend, and a warrior who kicked cancer’s ass every single day she was here.”

Her courage, her artistry, and her unbreakable spirit touched fans, fellow dancers, and everyone who knew her. Her legacy — of joy, resilience, love for dance, and hope in hardship — will continue to inspire.
