⛰️🎶 It is our pleasure at Moon Ruins to release into the world latest song, “Now the Time is New”. It is a gentle reminder that progress is ahead of us and that reassuring message is delivered through vocals that feel like a warm embrace from an old friend. What starts out as a lovingly low-fi folk song blooms into a marching bouquet of drums, call and response vocals, and lovely keyboard melodies that crescendo into xylophone and over-driven guitars. With Child shows us once again how it feels to feel good.

☄️VINYL INCOMING!☄️ Delighted to announce that we’ve teamed up with Boise’s power trio ! Releasing the new single "Perfect Too" today, ahead of their forthcoming EP, Petite Deaths, due out January 17, 2025. Recorded at the storied Rancho De La Luna studio in Joshua Tree with esteemed producer Dave Catching (Desert Sessions, Queens of the Stone Age, earthlings?), this 5 song collection masterfully echoes the vastness of the desert it was shaped in. But beyond the desert’s influence, Petite Deaths also tells a story of the intimate journey of creation, both musical and personal.

The EP’s title is a reference to the French phrase petite mort or "small death," used as a euphemism for the grand sensation that arrives post-orgasm (much like Tori Amos' landmark Little Earthquakes). Bassist Melanie Radford explains, “When we were deciding on the title of this 5-song EP, we realized each of these songs felt like flashes of life and death. Each of them are ‘epic’ in their own way: small bursts of either pleasure or despair, tied together by a large musical landscape.”

It’s always exciting when we get to announce that we’re working with a new artist and today is that day. —the avant garde, bedroom folk-pop, band dreams are made of, is driven by the songwriting of . Whether it’s his music, visual art, or his carpentry, Elijah brings a beauty and thoughtful artistry to everything he puts out into the world. This dedication to his musical craft was also recognized by the , who recently awarded Elijah with the “Light Of Day” grant. We are so excited to help bring Elijah’s music into the physical realm.

While we work toward ushering future releases into the world with With Child (more on that later), we are excited to reintroduce three albums from the With Child back catalog with 2020’s Positivity Blooms, 2018’s Grief Cycles, and 2015’s Totally Glowing Open now available on your streaming service of choice.
