Boise Fire Department performs technical rescue operations on the victims of a catastrophic structural collapse during the construction of a new hangar at the Boise Airport.
From Boise Fire :
"Tonight, at approximately 5:00 pm MT a privately owned hangar that was under construction collapsed. The hangar construction site is on the Boise Airport’s airfield near W. Rickenbacker St. and Luke St. Three people died on scene, and nine people were injured. Five of the injured are in critical condition and receiving care at local hospitals.
Due to the nature of the collapse, first arriving fire crews worked to stabilize the scene and performed multiple victim rescues during their response. In addition to the Boise Fire Department, Boise Police, Gowen Field Fire Department, and Ada County Paramedics responded to this incident. The response included eight fire engines, three ladder trucks, two safety officers, two battalion chiefs, one division chief, a heavy rescue unit, and a dozen ambulances.
“Tonight, there was a catastrophic collapse of a metal structure at a construction site. First responders found a hectic scene and worked to secure and rescue victims,” said Division Chief of Operations Aaron Hummel. “The Boise Airport, City of Boise, and all first responders extend their deepest sympathies to those impacted.”
Crews remain on scene at this time and Wright St. will remain closed through the night. The site is secure, and there is no threat to the public. The investigation into what caused the collapse is ongoing. OSHA representatives are on scene investigating. No city-owned buildings were impacted by this incident and there was no impact to Boise Airport operations.
The names of those who died will be released by the Ada County Coroner’s Office pending notification of next of kin."
Man REFUSES rescue attempts after fleeing into Boise River
Man REFUSES rescue attempts after fleeing into Boise River
At around 10:45am on Tuesday, May 30th 2023, Boise Fire, Boise Police, and Ada County Paramedics responded to a male in the Boise River west of Broadway Ave in Boise. Crews attempted to contact the male, seen swimming in the river in a blue shirt. Reports are stating that the man had an earlier encounter with Boise Police and was attempting to flee when he entered the river. Rescuers attempted to throw floatation devices to him, but he was seen disregarding their attempts and swam away from rescuers. The male continued to swim downstream, and eventually put on a life vest thrown by Boise Fire. Boise Fire Dive 1 responded and placed their rescue boat in the water, but the man swam away from it and continued downstream. It is currently unclear why the male evaded rescue attempts. Officers from the Boise Police Department joined firefighters on the boat, as they attempted to remove the subject from the water. The male was eventually pushed to shore, and was briefly hiding in the brush on the south side of the river near Ann Morrison Park. The male was taken into police custody, and was evaluated by Ada County Paramedics before being transported to a local area hospital.
At around 7:45pm on Sunday February 12th, Boise Fire responded to the 400 block of S Victoria Dr for a vehicle crashed off of a hillside, fully involved with fire. The gas tank was ruptured and gas continued to ignite creating difficult firefighting conditions. Boise Police responded and are investigating the cause of the incident. No driver was located at the scene and is believed to have fled prior to emergency crews arrival.
DRIVER OF STOLEN VEHICLE WRECKS, THREATENS MEDICS, AND CLIMBS ON AMBULANCE.
At around 11:20pm on Friday, January 20th, Boise Police, Boise Fire, and Ada County Paramedics responded to the 3400 block of W Hillcrest Dr in Boise for reports of a motor vehicle accident.
Firefighters and paramedics arrived to find an irate male, who was physically combative. Firefighters requested an urgent response from police. As officers arrived, they located the male climbing on the rear of an ambulance on scene. Fire crews took shelter, as officers decentralized the male and placed him into custody. The vehicle he was driving was confirmed as stolen, and Boise PD believe he is connected to a hit and run earlier that night with a different vehicle in the 1700 block of S Curtis Road. The driver was placed into custody by Boise PD and was transported by Ada County Paramedics to a local area hospital.
DRUNK DRIVER FLIPS CAR IN HALLOWEEN MISHAP - At 10:55 PM (MST) on Halloween, The Caldwell Fire Department, Caldwell Police Department, and Canyon County Paramedics were dispatched to the 200 block of South Florida Avenue just south of the intersection of South Florida Avenue and Hillcrest Lane for reports of a rollover traffic collision with possible entrapment. Upon arrival, crews found a small sedan resting on its side against a parked car. Residents in the neighborhood were attempting to assist the female driver out of the flipped vehicle. Canyon County Paramedics Medic 52 informed Canyon County Emergency Dispatch that there was “1 green patient and that the patient was attempting to self extricate.”
After being medically cleared by Canyon County Paramedics, the driver was turned over to the care of Caldwell Police Department Officers who began conducting field sobriety tests on the subject. Officers determined that the driver was intoxicated and was charged with DUI. The smell of intoxicants were present in the air. Caldwell PD cited the driver for driving while intoxicated and released her to the custody of a sober friend to take her home. As an officer said on scene, “it’s a good reminder to not drink and drive”.

Happy New Year!
WOW what a year it’s been!
2021 has meant a lot to me and Ten76 as a whole, as it’s the first year the project has existed. I’ve wanted to do something like this for a while, and it finally happened earlier this year. It was a bit of a slow start, as Ten76 is a side project for me thanks to other commitments, but the time I’ve put in so far has led to some of the most fun and satisfying moments of the year for me.
To the first responders, police officers, sheriff deputies, state troopers, fire fighters, paramedics and tow operators, thank you for doing what you do. The services you all provide to the community are always needed, and you all do a fantastic job. To those of you out there I’ve had the pleasure of meeting while out shooting, thank you all for your kindness, curiosity, positivity and support. I look forward to spending more time with y’all in 2022.
To those of you who followed any of the Ten76 pages, liked any posts, shared any of our work with your friends, or talked about us at all, thank you so much. Your support doesn’t go unnoticed, and without you this project would just be an empty place that I post pictures and videos to. I love being able to make this kind of content, and look forward to bringing a whole new level in 2022.
I have some really big plans and goals for the new year, and I look forward to hitting the ground running and continuing to push myself and bring more media to the valley. The support and positivity you all have shown me is insane, and I have no words for how much it means to me. The whole idea of starting something brand new and being the first to bring it into an area that’s never seen it before was a little daunting at first, but the support from you all drives me to continue.
Ten76 is going to be all new in 2022, and I can’t wait to bring you all along as we move through the year. I hope everyone’s holidays have been wonderful, and I want to wish everyone here in the Ten76 community a very Hap
