The Main Event-The Main Story-The Main Issue
“Sequel to the August 14th LGBTQ + Pride Event”
Now that Minneapolis has fallen to the anarchists, Bloomington has become ground zero for the “social justice warriors.” It’s now become the nexus for dozens of liberal special interest groups and a major center for MN Outfront and Black Lives Matters operations.
The Pride Event was just the tip of the iceberg.
For starters, it was very strange to me that 2 Afro-American Females from the LGBTQ + Pride Festival crossed the street to confront the Bloomington Patriots when there were so few blacks attending the Festival. Since they were both wearing Black Lives Matter tee-shirts, I suspect that they were paid agitators who didn’t even live in Bloomington.
But this is really part of a bigger story of the City Council’s history of ignoring the majority of Bloomington’s residents. It’s a case study of how outside special interest groups have moved in to shape the city’s policies. Its also a prime example of two powerful advocacy groups that have taken over and dominated local politics. By now it should be obvious that money and political pressure from Black Lives Matters and Outfront dictate the city council’s agenda and run the campaigns of the liberal city council candidates.
There are at least a dozen instances where the city council ignored Bloomington’s citizens and bent to outside influences. Here’s the top 6 list:
• The proposal for a new Community Center,
• The abrupt closure of the Bloomington DMV,
• The pending paving of the Minnesota River Flats,
• The Mall of America Waterpark,
• Changing zoning ordinances so that a “cultural campus” could be built.
• The overbuilding of Affordable Housing,
• The Creative Placemaking and Park System Masterplans
These artifices are part of the liberals’ agenda. They were determined by outside interests and were not in the public’s interest.
Today, organizations like MN Isaiah, Black Lives Matter, Antifa, BARC, Indivisible, MN Outfront, LWV, Planned Parenthood, DFL, FairVoteMN, Education Minnesota, Bloomington Federation of Teachers, Bloomington Federation of Paraprofessionals have major footholds in the Bloomington community.
Meanwhile, crime is spiking, our roads are deteriorating, our water system is in need of major repair, and Bloomington residents have to drive to Minnetonka to get their driver’s license renewed.
