This has been one of the hardest posts I’ve ever had to write. I honestly didn’t know how to say it… so I’m just going to say it.

After a lot of thought (and what has been a really difficult 10 months mentally), I’ve made the decision to close my studio.

A year ago, I had a clear vision for what this space would become—a place where brands could create, small businesses could grow, photographers could gather, and our community could connect. I poured my heart, time, money, and creativity into bringing that vision to life.

Unfortunately, circumstances outside of my control changed what was possible in the space, and continuing simply wasn’t the right path for my business.

This decision wasn’t easy. I’ve felt just about every emotion imaginable over the last 10 months—sadness, regret, anger, uncertainty, disappointment, and grief.

But somewhere along the way, those feelings turned into something else.

Relief. Peace. Acceptance.

While this chapter is ending, my business isn’t.

I’m still here, still photographing incredible people, brands, products, businesses, and the people behind them. I’ll continue creating the lifestyle imagery and visual storytelling I love—just without the beautiful space I built.

When I look back at the before-and-after photos of the renovation, I’m incredibly proud of what I created. Even if it wasn’t meant to last as long as I hoped, it was real, it was beautiful, and it taught me more than I can put into words. Someday I’ll probably share all of those lessons.

To every client who trusted me, every photographer who used the space, every family who celebrated there, and every person who cheered me on—thank you. You made that studio so much more than four walls.

I dreamed about having a space like that for years. It turns out it wasn’t meant to be my forever chapter, and I’m okay with that now.

I’m choosing to see this not as a failure, but as a pivot. Sometimes letting go of something you’ve worked so hard for is exactly what creates room for what’s next. ✨

I don’t know exactly what the next chapter looks like yet, but I do know one thing: to the next step.
