UMHB men's basketball alum Eli Beard will play his final season of college basketball at Division I Drexel.

What an accomplishment for a Crusader who scored over 1,000 points in 2 seasons and left his mark on the program as a leader.

An All-Region contributor at UMHB, 5'11 guard Eli Beard is transferring to Division I Drexel for his final year of college basketball.

NEWS: UMHB men's basketball will play at the D3hoops.com Classic in Las Vegas this coming season, per an announcement from D3hoops this morning.

UMHB is set to face Redlands, who appeared in the Elite Eight this past year, and Ohio Northern at the classic.

The Cru will head west for the 15th annual D3hoops.com Classic, where they are set to face Redlands and Ohio Northern at South Point Arena.

Coming off a national quarterfinal run, UMHB Football will face top D2, D3, and NAIA opponents in 2025, aiming for a memorable season.

Want to say thank you to the graduating players from UMHB Softball for all that they contributed to the program over the last several years. Special group that includes a few members of the 2023 NCAA Regional Final team and players who have helped the program remain a conference title contender year in and year out. They certainly battled today in a tough environment.

This ended up being the game's most crucial call. LETU's Maddi Smith called safe due to obstruction on a play at the plate in the 7th, tying the score. LETU then scored again, and won 2-1.

Struggling to understand how this is blocking the plate/obstruction. UMHB's Tori Skinner clearly had possession of the ball before Smith reached her. Hard to watch, considering the ramifications in an elimination game setting.

: UMHB Softball faces off against LeTourneau at 1 p.m. in an ASC Tournament elimination game. Winner will play the loser of ETBU/HSU tonight at 6 pm.

This marks the third consecutive year in which UMHB and LETU have met in the conference tournament.

UMHB Softball now looks ahead to tomorrow's elimination game against a very familiar opponent: LeTourneau. And The Cru has a solid track record when it's win or go home. Since 2019, UMHB has 6 ASC Tournament wins in elimination games.

UMHB came up short in Thursday's pitcher's duel against Hardin-Simmons at the ASC Tournament, putting The Cru into Friday's elimination game.

: UMHB Softball opens the postseason in Marshall, Texas, battling No. 2 seed Hardin-Simmons at the ASC Tournament! 3:30 p.m. first pitch.

It will be the first time since 2022 that the two programs have met in the ASC Tournament.

In case you missed today's earlier announcement, Lauren Baker is returning to UMHB women's basketball as the program's assistant coach! Baker was a two-time All-ASC honoree and part of two NCAA Tournament teams while playing for The Cru.

A key contributor on Katie Novak-Lenoir's first UMHB team two years ago, Lauren Baker is returning to Belton in a new role as assistant coach.

And that trend has continued into 2025 with the success of freshman starting pitcher Kolby McBee, who leads the ASC in ERA heading into today's conference tournament quarterfinal:
