Tonight was my last night working the console in the studio.
Tomorrow starts the studio tear down as I turn it back to one large room.
Thank you for a fun ride as I close the book on this chapter of musical endeavors.
Tonight was my last night working the console in the studio.

You got to catch this band that covers all those great 80’s & 90’s tunes!
A fun & talented group of musicians that bring it on.
Lots of talent here with a wide selection of music genres.
Just a great group of guys that do this for love of music & entertaining.

Every other month on Sunday, I spent all day and into the evening performing a thorough cleaning in DCS.
This also includes an equipment check, a complete wiring check, an amplifier check, and most importantly a sound check to ensure DCS is ready for the most productive and enjoyable rehearsal/recording experience.
This is my solitude and my lifelong passion.
In my opinion, this is the core foundation that makes Deep Central Studios the very best!

Well, the enthusiasm is running real high here at DSC!
I am not one to do live sound - maybe for my own band - it’s just to demanding for the pay that I really don’t need.
Any ol’ way, I had a great friend reach out and beg me to do their sound for a very special private event. I said no about 9 times as the pay kept going up.
I gave him (3) of my close friends that do sound that I would put my name behind.
Each time it was no, we want you.
Well, I gave in and now it’s time to put back together my big D-RIG.
Good news, Doctor Nancy agreed to help (of course said I thought you don’t do live sound only the studio 😕)
I called my friend back today and gave him my word that I got his back, they are gonna look and sound great.
What he then told me I guess made me feel really good.
He said the reason we want you is your attention to detail.
Time to unload the van from yesterday and start putting together the D-RIG to load up in the trailer.
DCS was open this Sunday with a new client, Lightning Strikes Twice.
Awesome group of musicians playing some great metal along with rock & roll.
If your looking to get a great “In Your Face” gritty bass tone, DCS recommends using the Sansamp Tech 21. (Same as Geddy Lee)
I personally like the three adjustable foot pedal model verses the rack model.
If you are using multiple bass guitars on a live gig, you can customize up to (3) different axes.
Or what I prefer, LOW MEDIUM HIGH gritty tones!
By setting up the tones along with the same matching outputs, you will get some great brightness out of your bass.
I suggest using a digital mixing console when setting up the unit to ensure the input levels to the bass channel on the mixing console are matched by all three basses to avoid over modulation the input channel.
Your sound engineer will thank you 😎!
On this video example, I am using a 1972 Rickenbacker with stock pick ups going through a 2x10 Fender Rumble amplifier.
The amplifier is set flat on the equalization.
If you’re ever looking to improve your sound, improve your band rehearsals or simply want to improve your overall performance, allow me to help you with my 50 years of knowledge and top of the line gear here at Deep Central Studios LLC.
Enjoy the video presentation.

Saturday is my first gig with my new band South 557 as we play an outdoor private party.
Sunday, back to work!
Don’t stop at the top!
First cancel, understandably due to circumstances beyond their control.
I’ll take an off night, it’s just a hobby nothing more 😎
Another busy week ahead and another couple more clients looking to book Deep Central Studios LLC
Looking forward to working with one of my clients (Nigel) along with one of his engineers from across the pond.
Flip & the boys in the house!
Speaker Update!
After going to Billows, Home Depot, Lowes & Auto Zone with no luck I found this place in Audubon called Electronic Universal Supply Company!
Great place that is well stocked with fuses, circuit boards, components…….
JBL EON Green light on and we’re back in business!
Well, it’s maintenance day here at Deep Central Studios LLC
One of the powered JBL EON G15 stopped working.
Had to take it down off the custom ceiling mount and get it on the bench.
Of course I figured it’s a fuse, I didn’t figure I had to take the entire speaker apart to replace the blown fuse!
Well, now it’s off to find a T.25 250 volt fuse.
No more radio shack.
Closing out another busy week in Deep Central Studios LLC this week.
With the help of my good friend and great drummer Peter Fareri I am able to expand my horizons taken on another new client and still finding time pursuing my passion in playing live music.
I will be playing bass for the South 557 Band
It feels good to get back into a working band since taken time off for my thumb surgery last year. I will be posting our upcoming gigs.
Next week I’ll will be welcoming my newest client who requested and will be using the Roland T-25 kit for his band.
Enjoy the weekend and be safe in your travels.
Another one of Deep Central Studios LLC clients and a really enjoyable band to work with.
If you love the music of the 80’s then I highly recommend you follow them on FB and catch one of their upcoming shows.
You can't get a better rating than two thumbs up from these guys!
This is probably one of my favorite Rush tunes, What your doing!
Fun time tonight with the boys in Right Turn At-Forty
Success starts with hard work, true dedication along with attention to detail!
Doing some wiring management here in Deep Central Studios LLC in the effort to cut down on your set up time and more focus on your rehearsal time.
DM us if you want to experience the very best rehearsal / studio / video production spit anywhere is Southern Jersey!
Here is a cool original I laid a bass track down on using my 72 Rickenbacker 4001.
This was with my friends Paul on drums and Pete.
Pete was the composer, producer and engineer in his studio.
The song is called Surrender.
Looking forward to more studio sessions.
I took the boat anchor bass rig out of storage - it’s like moving a refrigerator though in combination with the the Low D Line 6 it makes for an awesome outdoor bass rig.

Another fun night behind the board with Right Turn At-Forty Great sounding band that just performed the Philly run this past week. I highly recommend catching this very talented bunch of musicians!
Another productive night in DCS. If your looking for the very best, productive & ear pleasing rehearsal spot let me help make your dreams come true😎
For the past few months, I’ve been working with Nigel Bennett in DCS. He has put together a really good band and is preparing for upcoming tour. Check out his interview on my second post. I really enjoy working with all the clients since I started DCS. One night it’s VH, next it’s Pink Floyd, then one of my favorite female artist Alanis Morissette! Then there another great band Forever Tina (Tina Turner tribute band) And of course the cover & wedding band clients. ALL THiS FOR $25.00 PER HOUR! Nigel Bennett
Another busy week comes to a close at DCS. Another two new clients this week added to the Presonus Studio Live 64S mixing console memory bank. Tonight I had the pleasure of hosting Peabody’s Wayback Machine! Great band covering a large genre of music. Friday I’ll be hosting my first bass lesson student. The last time I taught was at Sater’s School of Music. I wasn’t sure what to charge so I told him the first lesson would be free and if he likes what I have to offer will go from there! Most people would think this is a dumb ass idea but then again, I’m not in it to make money, and besides that I was never the smartest or sharpest pencil in the drawer 😂😂😂
One of the great sounding solid state amps in Deep Central Studios LLC is the Fender Cyber Deluxe, single 12” amp modeling unit. Though it does not have tubes like the marshals, it certainly packs a unique punch, and a great addition to the studio. The studio is 40’ x 18’ and though at first you may think it’s small keep this in mine, most of the rooms you will be playing in are going to be if not smaller and will have a stage that size. Getting a good live & bright stage volume without the drums behind a shield and crisp load vocal monitors is what you get at Deep Central Mark DeBer
From a simple three piece band to a full ten piece production, Deep Central Studios LLC can facilitate a very comfortable, productive, and simply great sounding rehearsal session.
Last night i had the pleasure of listening to DCS’ newest client. Having grown up listening to Pink Floyd, these extremely talented musicians treated me to some of the best Pink Floyd songs, including the entire Dark side of the Moon album. I dimmed the lights and sat back 😎
Last night I had the pleasure of sitting back and listening to this really good band of musicians, Right Turn At 40. Though they don’t really play clubs mostly bigger venues & festivals, I would suggest following them and catching one of their shows. Don’t forget to buy the drummer & bass player a beer 😎
