You Drink. You Drive. You Lose.

Earlier this week Deputy Howard was assisting a motorist when a vehicle almost hit his cruiser on State Route 117. After a brief pursuit a traffic stop was initiated.

Upon initiating a traffic stop, deputies found the driver, 34-year-old Chelsea Benton of Lima intoxicated. After failing field sobriety tests, deputies found a near-empty bottle of Jack Daniels Whiskey, another bottle unopened, and two bottles of mouthwash in the car. They also found a bottle of Paxil that was prescribed to another person. Breathalyzer tests showed a blood alcohol content of nearly three times the legal limit.
