A MUST watch please-a great documentary! It might be pleasant & it might be foul, but could very well be toxic! Many documentaries reveal chemicals used in everyday products carry alarming toxicities & we'd never suspect it’s perfectly legal! For Jon Whelan the road to making this discovery in the 2015 intriguing documentary Stink! which can be watched on Netflix is where I watched it & I'm sure it's elsewhere also 😁 It began with a Christmas present he purchased for his daughter in 2011-pajamas that when removed from the package emitted an awful smell.... Trying to find out what it was proved enlightening in a very negative way. Not just those PJs, but the hundreds of chemicals used by manufacturers in all sorts of products that 1)they don’t have to list on the label or identify in anyway, and 2)that the FDA has no control over the use of these ingredients in many products. Jon spent 3 years researching this. He’s talked to everyone from corporations to government representatives & Washington lobbyists. Now he’s on a crusade against chemical companies. Everything he learned & the interviews he conducted along the way is in the documentary Stink!

“In making “Stink!” over the past three years, I have learned that companies don’t need to disclose whether products contain chemicals that cause cancer or disrupt hormones, even chemicals that could interfere with a child’s growth, or cause reproductive problems. Certainly we can all agree that consumers should have the right to choose whether they want to be exposed to chemicals that cause cancer, or birth defects, or reproductive harm? Apparently not. By keeping the ingredients secret, companies are taking away our ability to make informed choices. In other words, we don’t even have the right to choose whether we want to be exposed to a carcinogen. Companies using unsafe ingredients get to choose for us.” — Jon Whelan

The people you’d think are supposed to be regulating the use of chemicals for consumer safety aren’t doing so! Perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised. It seems that the 1976 Toxic Substances Control Act grandfathered in tens of thousands of existing chemicals, simply assuming their safety without requiring proof. The rapid rise in health issues starts it's first big spike to be right about 1976-1977 & before that-perhaps beginning in the late 60s chemical production leaps into being with only obesity linked as a result. Anything can be lumped under the listing ‘fragrances’ in makeup, hygiene products, cleaning products & more. The manufacturers are adamantly against listing ingredients of labels of cleaning products. It’s a lot like not labeling GMOs, but worse, because there are known carcinogens, endocrine disruptors & other health destructive agents that they keep under lock and key, claiming them to be trade secrets. Right 🤔 Wouldn’t a good chemist worth his salt be able buy their product at a store & analyze it, breaking down their ingredients & their quantities? Like their competitors don’t already know what’s in their product? And if Unilever stole Proctor & Gamble’s recipe, don’t you think that there’d be one hell of a lawsuit as a result? This so called trade secret protection is most likely a method of not letting consumers find out what’s in the bottle! Watch the Stink! trailer & pay attention-you don’t want to miss the woman who says, “They don’t want consumers to know that ingredients in 'top of the line perfume' are the same ingredients used in their toilet bowl cleaner.” Fortune did a piece on this documentary in December. The reporter contacted the FDA for some fact checking & got pretty much the same response that Whelan did. There’s nothing to be released through the Freedom of Information Act from the FDA about chemicals in personal products. The reporter did come away with this: “She did not deny that the “proprietary“ label precludes any demand for further disclosure, or that ingredients deemed harmful in, say food, could be included in other products. These would include formaldehyde and phthalates.”

While checking out everything on the Stink! website some super interesting (and scary) news that came out. BBC & National Centre for Atmospheric Science professor, Alastair Lewis York have shown that citrus scented candles, cleaning products & air fresheners present a health hazard. The chemical d-Limonene when meeting ozone in the air inside a house causes a reaction that creates cancer causing formaldehyde to appear. New York Daily News Researchers in Germany found that phthalates used in soft plastics such as the packaging on sausage, lunch meats & cheeses affects hormones & disrupts the metabolism in mice causing weight gain, the effect was most pronounced in female mice. Their research paper published describes what they’ve learned & their plans for digging deeper into the problem. Healthcanal And a San Francisco newspaper published an article about the horrors hiding under ‘fragrance’ in cleaning products. The article wasn’t accessible without a subscription, but a little sleuthing found it displayed in full elsewhere. Over 3,000 chemicals are used to create fragrances in everything from perfume to cleaning products. Some of them are linked to: asthma, birth defects, cancer & infertility.

This one is Strawberry Whey Protein (my favorite). We also have Chocolate, and Vanilla which are both good as well. Also we have Organic Pea Protein in Chocolate, and Vanilla only (I've had the Chocolate which is good). It's important to get the recommended amount of daily protein to preserve muscle mass as we age-majority of people aren't getting enough in a day (under 50=0.38g×weight, over 50=0.45gxweight).

New product started using for about 3 months now. Not "gritty" & tastes awesome! This one is Orange, but also have in Berry & Green Apple. Haven't tried Green Apple yet-I think Berry is the favorite so far. Proper amounts of fiber is essential to heart health amongst a host of other health benefits & alot of people don't even get half the daily recommended value of 30 grams. One glass of this will get you 14 grams of it 😁

Definitely getting a few more packs of these so we can keep in vehicles & my work truck as their savings are huge vs very expensive paper towels & everyone has to do laundry anyway-they're a win win 👍🏻

This stuff works so well we find ourselves mixing a half oz. of concentration vs the whole oz. to a 16 oz. spray bottle! That's 256 oz's. I spray a mist of this awesome smelling light duty cleaner on my fruits & veggies to wash & rinse away any toxic sprays, dirt, dust (which with all today's modern electronics in the home can become toxic with heavy metals!), etc. from them. I've also found a very light mist of this on the leaves & around the area of our plants detours the deer, rabbits & pesky critters that seem to devour them 😁 Works well around our hostas, day lillies, rhubarb & also the rose bush aphids. Christmas in July!!
We proudly use the health & wellness products we have started promoting in our group just the past 3-4 years of the 400 plus health & wellness products available-we never can wait to order & get our box delivered right to our door-it's been like Christmas every month for a decade (in April this year) already! We're not car sales, or the vacuum cleaner sales type of people ie promoting something without purchasing, or using it yourself-we just spread awareness there is healthier products out here free of synthetic, toxic & caustic ingredients that could potentially impact health down the road regardless of what people do. Majority of what we use is substantially cheaper than getting the inferior synthetic stuff at the commercial places, it's made in America, much much more concentrated thus lasting much longer, top notch quality (I've did my research on this stuff the past decade & know ALOT about it) 😁

This works awesome to put a half oz-1 oz full strength into our washing machine & dish washer soap dispenser once a month or so & run it through a normal wash empty to clean, tackle mold & battle the mildew odors-when this is running through either machine it makes the house smell soooo awesome! This also works very well in place of Goo Gone, and I'm a pretty sloppy worker when it comes to silicone & I end up getting more on me than my project (same with painting, but that's another story 🤣🤣). So I decided to try this full strength on partially dried silicone on my hands vs toxic gas or toxic paint thinner that I've used in the past to get this junk off me-it worked, and I didn't smell like a leaking gas tank, or a bucket of paint brushes soaking in paint thinner! This also lifts tough stains & deodorizes many different things I've tried very well & only 1 oz. of concentrate makes a 16 oz. spray bottle (one 8 oz. bottle of concentrate makes 1 gal. of this awesome stuff)! However we get it in a 16 oz. bottle because we use it besides just for mixing spray bottles as shown & works awesome in the carpet cleaner recipe. I'm finding this to be a very diversitile cleaner. It's power derived from the natural solvent properties of tea tree oil! In Lemon Blossom (our favorite), and Original Scents. Through the end of year holidays it's in Spiced Apple Scent which smells good enough to drink!

Another product that works on the car very well! Had to try it as others were saying that it worked very well on car interior rather than dusting around the home & loved the results! This stuff smells awesome & leaves a shine better than the 2 synthetic based commercial brands I use to use that I swore by back in the day. Non aerosol-biodegradable ingredients & essential oils to clean, condition & protect leather, wood, vinyl from cracking & premature aging that dries clear without cloudy buildup.
