STATEMENT FROM VIDOR ISD

"Vidor ISD is aware of an ongoing investigation by the Vidor Police Department involving a former district employee. Vidor ISD will fully cooperate with the Vidor Police Department and provide any information necessary to assist in their investigation. As this is an active investigation, any questions or requests for additional information can be directed to the Vidor Police Department," stated Bryan Brassard, VISD communication relations coordinator.

TALLIES FOR FIRST DAY OF EARLY VOTING REPORTED

In Jefferson, Hardin and Orange counties, election officials reported that more than 15,800 registered voters cast ballots in person on the first day of early voting on Oct. 21 for the Nov. 5 general election.
Jefferson County Election Manager Aaron Kelley reported 9,271 voters cast ballots in person. Orange County stated 3,240 people voted early and Hardin County had 3,311.
As for mail-in ballot tallies on Monday, Kelley said his office received 2,049, Orange County received 628 and Hardin County got
241.
Early voting ends Nov. 1.
According to election officials, Jefferson County has 147,718 registered voter, Orange County has 56,303 and Hardin County's number is at 43,127.
