Ready Player One
One of the happiest days of my life was when I got my Xbox 360 Elite for Christmas. Another was when my brother and I (in the photo) got an N64 from my parents. I remember growing up playing with the golden gun on Temple in 007, rockets on prisoner in Halo, snipers on blood gulch, my first AC-130 mission on MW, the excitement of a lighting bolt on MarioKart-64, shooting ducks on my NES, the importance of a spread gun in Contra, what power trumps what villain in Mega Man 2, and SO many more. ALL of these things bring back memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life. My childhood is filled with good times brought to me by Nintendo, Sega, Xbox, Playstation.
I am now 32 years old, have 2 beautiful children, an amazing and loving Wife, an excellent job as a technology director. I am nothing special; just a grown-man who still enjoys the feeling of excitement when you get a headshot from distance or win a game. Games change but that will never go away.
Just remember life may throw you bananas but as long as you know how to slow down just right, you can recover ;)
