A short film in 48 hours... sounds impossible, but this incredible team made it possible! 🎥 Media Desperado successfully submitted another 48 Hour Film Project: New Orleans film this weekend. Santiago and I still can't stop talking about the amount of talent, skill, and off-camera good times that showed up for this set. Respect, creativity, collaboration, and curiosity poured out of each of these individuals. And this movie is extra special to us because Santi and I wrote it ourselves (with the help of some bright minds, of course... it takes a [video] village)

The stars aligned for this one... and we can't wait for you to see it! ❤️

What an honor to be awarded these accolades alongside our partner Unfiltered With Kiran. For the first time, two bronze Telly Awards are coming home to Media Desperado! 🏆

We are incredibly excited to congratulate Unfiltered With Kiran and honored to announce that our documentary "Unfiltered Efforts: A Hurricane Ida Relief Story" and Kiran's tremendous, generous efforts involved with making that story have been awarded an Emmy for Community Service!

Unfiltered with Kiran won its first Emmy as an independent news organization. The piece documented the community's efforts post Hurricane Ida

For the , did you know we were assigned the genres "Western" or "Silent Film"? With a talented sound mixer on the team, we didn't want to go silent, but we didn't want a spaghetti western either! This was a rag-tag team of friends, strangers, coworkers, students, and family (yes, Amanda's mother is in the movie 😘) who came together to make the thrilling and challenging 'Measure Twice. Cut Once.' These local lovers of film volunteered their time to make something great... and indeed they did. Not all cast & crew are even pictured here! All in all, we had a team of 17 volunteers to produce this , and each one of them deserves your view & vote.

Shoutout to the set runners and production assistants!

See Diego F Orejuela (along with Tori Rodriguez who is not pictured) prep set dressing and bask in lighting design glow on the set of Exposure. From running to get props to helping with script supervising, these two PAs had their hands on everything. On top of this He was our COVID officer and we successfully had a safe production!

SCOOP IN THE COOP (2021) Created in Baton Rouge for the 48 Hour Film Project Animation Project.

This funky production got us back on the filmmaking horse after more than a year hiatus. This collaboration is very special to us as it was achieved with a small team, all 100% remote. An animated film is a beast, but certainly challenges the creative mind!

HUSKS (2019) Shot in Albany for the Hammond Horror Festival

This was our second try at the same festival. With this film though, we learned a few tough lessons. Many last minute changes and equipment issues got in the way of some excellent team work.
This was a leadership challenge too. Making sure everyone in the team was on the same page can be the most simple and essential detail.

While the image is the face, sound is the puppet master! Make sure you put the time in getting clean audio.

They say you learn more about your failures than your successes, though.
