CCLA resident Madi Andrews is the recipient of the 1868
Award, an honor bestowed upon only ten incoming freshmen
at St. Joseph’s Academy. The award will provide $1,868 toward
tuition for Madi’s ninth-grade year.🎓🎉🏆

This spring, the CCLA Property Owners Association hosted First Responders Day in the community park. The event gave residents the opportunity to explore more than ten different types of response vehicles from the St. George Fire Department, Baton Rouge City Police, and
the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office🚔🚒

This Months Precious Pets: The Swans of CCLA🦢The CCL Garden Club purchased Rhett and Scarlet and then gave them to the neighborhood. The POA was responsible for their care but decided in 2018 to give Kathy Haynes full authority to care for and make any decisions regarding the swans. She feeds them twice a day at her own expense. She takes them to the
vet when needed, and she purchased Roxie when Scarlett died from an infected bite on her leg. The breeder is on speed dial if she needs advice, and she cares for them with love as though they were her children. The community is lucky to have her and appreciates her dedication to these lovely birds!

This month's precious pet is Chloe the Poodle! Chloe lives the dream. As a senior dog, she has paid her dues as a steadfast companion to Lainie Robichaux and her family. This dog mom brought home Chloe soon after she moved into the country club almost eleven years ago. 🐶

Hogs for the Cause is bringing a new type of fundraiser to Baton Rouge to support the future “Hogs House” at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital. Piggies for the Cause is a child-focused fundraising event designed to give local
children an introduction to helping others.

Hogs for the Cause is the national leading provider of outreach services for Pediatric Brain Cancer in the United States and has expanded its services to
partner with local children’s hospitals to build Hogs Houses on their campuses, where families and loved ones can stay while their child receives treatment!
