I said this almost 2 years ago, around my birthday, about JANKY promoters using bands to primote themselves and Band Q-Anon tried to act like I was anti-band, stupid and I didnt know what I was talking about.

It also started 🐴-Gate and folks claiming I was a "bad band director" all topics that didn't age well. .

TBT: I got a gig once that was life changing. Not because I tour the world as some famous clarinetists because tbh that was never my path, but every now and then, I think about how a girl from Southeast D.C. during the crack area in the worst of it, the 80s made to where I am today. I'm sure Vivian would be proud.

A good Band Director models what they want. I’m not a trumpet player but a good Methods class goes a long way. Shoutout to @dmvtrumpetman for teaching me how to play trumpet when we marched in a community band. Disclaimer: No trumpets were hurt in this demonstration.
