🔸Dolmen of Soto (Andalusia, Spain) :
Discovered in 1922, Dolmen de Soto is located in the municipality of Trigueros (Huelva), Iberia. It is one of the most important and best preserved megalithic monuments on the Peninsula. Construction must have taken place between the Neolithic and Bronze Age (3000-2500 BC).
This magnificent megalithic complex is covered by a large earth hill with a diameter of about 60m and is surrounded by a 65m circle of stones. Inside the Dolmen de Soto, there is a room and a 21m corridor made of large slabs of various stones: granite, stone or ski.

Statue of a woman carrying offerings
This masterpiece of Egyptian wood carving was discovered in a hidden chamber at the side of the passage leading into the rock cut tomb of the royal chief steward Meketre.
Together with a second, very similar female figure (now in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. 20.3.7) this statue flanked the group of twenty two models of gardens, workshops, boats, and a funeral procession that were crammed into the chamber’s narrow space.

The upper part of the third sarcophagus, the
innermost, in human form, contains the mummy of
King Tutankhamun. He reigned about 1336-1327 BC
C. during the Eighteenth Dynasty.
It is made of pure gold and has semi-precious stones
inlays and glass paste. This coffin measures 1.88
meters long and weighs 110.4 pounds.
This masterpiece (JE 60671) is now in the Egyptian
Museum of Antiquities, Cairo, Egypt.

The origin of these lamps goes hand in hand with the development of the glass industry in Turkey, which began in the period of the Seljuk Empire (12th century) and had a peak during the Ottoman Empire, where Istanbul was the center of glass production. glass.
Turkish lamps have a very old history since the manufacture of these lamps dates back 5,000 years in the Sumerian empire. This technique has evolved over time and its origins began with pieces of pots that were attached to the walls of houses, making very striking figures. This technique began with ceramics until it evolved into metal and included more materials such as glass and plaster until it reached the lamps we recognize today.
The mosaic of the Turkish lamps seems to represent its history. A sum of different contributions to the art of glass that dates back to the end of the 8th century when glassmakers in the eastern Mediterranean incorporated Roman traditions and the stylistic techniques of the second Persian empire into their methods.
